Spare Time: Since Grandpa is retired, he has all of the spare time in the world. He likes to tell people his stories, but usually when he is about to, everyone leaves the room. Since he in an old folks home, he doesn't get out much.

Achievements: He won an animation award after Bart and Lisa started submitting Itchy & Scratchy Show episode ideas to the Itchy & Scratchy Corporation under his name.

Love Life: Grandpa was married to Homer's hippie mother that is on the run from the law. Many years later he got serious with a woman named Beatrice Simmons, who had passed away after Grandpa didn't show up for her birthday (it was Homer's fault). He also was temporarily married to Amber, the Vegas floozy that Homer had married once before, but she ran off after finding she had married Grandpa while she was drunk. His most recent relationship was with a woman named Zelda, but she was only going out with Grandpa because he could drive and after he found that she didn't love Abe for Abe, he embarrassed her in front of a live audience in Branson by calling her a hoochie.
