Homer suffers a kneww injury that lands him out of work. Ned Flanders asks Homer to watch Rod and Todd as a last minute favor and he accepts. He realizes the fun in watching kids so he decides to open up a daycare center. Bart and Lisa feel outed and try to remind Homer of them, but he just seems to like the other kids better. When Homer was nominated for a Good Guy Award a filming crew comes by to film Homer taking care of the kids. Bart and Lisa decide the best to place to strike with their revenge will be at the ceremony with a film of their own that will reveal to everyone how Homer really is.
