"Anthology of Interest 2"
"Original Air Date: 1/06/02"
This is the second episode in which the professor's "What If," machine tells the crew about how things could be different in their life.
The first installment shows what life would be like for Bender if he became human. The professor uses a machine and a process he invented in order to turn Bender human. Then Leela, Fry, Amy, Hermes, and Zoidberg try to show him what it's like to be human. They try to tell Bender that part of being human is having self-control, but he doesn't listen and runs away. The professor was going to show Bender to the Noble Prize patrol in hopes of winning an award, but with Bender gone, his hopes are shattered. At the judging ceremony, Bender shows up, but in the week he was missing had gained a ton of wait. He tells everyone there how they should loosen up and enjoy life instead of always worrying about things and they realize that Bender had become a better human in his one week as a human then some of them had in their whole lives.
In the second installment, Fry finds out what life would be like if it were more like a videogame. He ends up being the only person on Earth that can take out an army of ruthless aliens from planet Nintendo 64 and the world is put in his hands.
In the last installment, Leela is accidentally hit on the head and has a dream (a parody of the Wizard of OZ). She crashes her ship in a strange land of bright colors and funny little people. Fry is play the Scarecrow, Bender plays the Tin Man, Zoidberg is the Cowardly Lion (well... sorta). The Professor is the Wizard, Hermes is kinda like himself, Amy is the Cute Witch of the North and Mom is the evil wicked witch with her three sons as the flying monkeys.
