"Ranger Vs. Ranger: Part 2"

Setting: Terra Venture Hospital

Maya is still in bed, hooked up to various life support devices, an ECG

monitors her life signs. The claw marks on her shoulder pulsate with red

energy. Save for this, there is no other movement from the Yellow Galaxy

Ranger.

Setting: Terra Venture - Early Morning

The mysterious shadowy figure stands atop the Central Command building. He

looks down at the people going about their morning business.

Mysterious Figure: Destroying them would seem TOO easy, but fun none the

less.

He watches as two Mirinoites walk below him. He feels the anger and

resentment building up inside him.

Mysterious figure: You pathetic savages, you will all be DESTROYED. You will

PAY for what your ancestors did to me.

He crossed his arms across his chest, and two devices materialised on his

wrists.

Mysterious Figure: LION RANGER FORCE!

Lion Ranger morphing sequence:

A lion’s head appeared behind the mysterious figure. It opens its mouth and

swallows the mysterious figure, who is now covered in a white light. Inside

the light, a green-grid was formed all over him. The white light and green

grid then exploded in a burst of energy. Where the mysterious figure once

stood, there now stood the Lion Ranger. His armour was bright red with the

exception of his boots and gloves, which were white. He had a golden chest

and shoulder armour. In the center of the chest armour was a lion’s head.

Each of his gauntlets had a lion’s head around the wrist, giving the

appearance that his hand came out of the lion’s mouth.

Energy surges crackle along his armour. The surges seem to cause him pain.

He falls to his knees, holds his head and roars in pain. As he stands up,

his head twitches, as if there is a glitch in the armour. A plume of flame

erupted from the bottom of each boot, and he jetted off into the sky, then

went into a steep dive towards the people beneath him. He weaves in and out

of them, nearly hitting some of them, and scaring ALL of them. Lion Ranger

flies up and hovers above the city.

Lion Ranger: Fire Sabre.

Two balls of flame appear in Lion Ranger’s hands, and he slams them

together. They explode in a shower of fire and sparks, forming the Fire

Sabre. With his new weapon, Lion Ranger dives down towards the terrified

citizens. He swings the Fire Sabre, setting an information console on fire.

He stops in mid air and rests the Fire Sabre on his left arm as he takes aim

at a couple sitting on a bench.

Lion Ranger: Toasted Human, anyone?

He fires the Fire Sabre. A ball of fire shoots out from the tip and smashes

into the ground behind the bench, throwing the couple into the air. They

crash into a wall and slump down.

Lion Ranger: Well, dead humans are ok too.

Lion Ranger flies away, firing the Fire Sabre wildly as he goes, laughing

insanely.

Setting: Central Command

Commander Stanton walks into Central Command. Already there are the Terra

Venture High Command.

High Council Renier: Commander, it seems that we are under attack, by a

Power Ranger.

Commander Stanton: The Power Rangers would never do that.

High Council Renier: See for yourself Commander.

A monitor blinks to life, which shows a section of Terra Venture. All seems

quiet and peaceful until an explosion rips through a building. The camera

pans to the left, where the Lion Ranger is hovering.

Lion Ranger: Didn’t your mother ever tell you: IT’S RUDE TO STARE!

The camera then goes dead.

Commander Stanton picks up a headset and mic and puts them on.

Commander Stanton: All troops to sector 3 immediately. We are under attack…

by a Power Ranger.

Setting: Terra Venture - Comet Café

Lion Ranger lands and laughs as he walks towards the Come Café. Inside are a

dozen terrified citizens.

Lion Ranger: Like shooting fish in a barrel, except more fun and a lot more

BLOOD AND GORE!

Lion Ranger aims the Fire Sabre, and is about to fire when he is suddenly

hit from behind by several energy blasts. He drops the Fire Sabre as he

stumbles forward. The citizens in the café cheer as Lion Ranger turns to

face the GSA troops, led by Jasper.

Jasper: Attention Power Ranger, cease your attack immediately.

Lion Ranger picks up the Fire Sabre and walks forward. Immediately he is hit

by energy blasts as the GSA troops open fire.

Jasper: I say again: cease your attack, Power Ranger.

Lion Ranger(laughing insanely): I’m not ANY Power Ranger, oh no. I’m the

LION RANGER.

He swings the Fire Sabre up and fires just in front of the GSA troops. The

explosion gives him chance to escape as he jets into the sky.

Jasper: Command, we need medics down here, NOW! We’ve got three men

seriously injured.

Setting: Somewhere on Mirinoi

The Lion Ranger is sitting on a rock, working on something. The Fire Sabre

is stuck in a tree next to him. On the ground in front of him are several

black, oval shaped devices, each with a flashing light on the top. Lion

Ranger holds up the one he is working on.

Lion Ranger: Yes this will do nicely, until my friends arrive.

He gets up off the rock and gathers up the devices, which he clips to his

waist. Something rustling in the bushes behind him gets his attention. He

whirls around and pulls the Fire Sabre from the tree, aiming it at the bush.

The rustling stops as a lone Mirinoite girl steps out of the bushes.

Mirinoite Girl: Lion Ranger… it can’t be.

Lion Ranger: Shut up and DIE! SAVAGE!

A ball of fire shoots out from the tip and smashes into the Mirinoite girl,

setting her ablaze. Lion Ranger watches as she screams in pain and falls to

the floor, trying to put the flame out. But it does no good, and the fire

consumes her.

Lion Ranger(laughing): That was FUN.

He walks over to the burning corpse and kicks it savagely.

Lion Ranger: That was MORE FUN. But enough of that, time for VENGEANCE!

Setting: Terra Venture

The GSA troops are out in force, patrolling the streets. Each trooper is

fully armed and ready for combat. High above them, Lion Ranger flies above

the clouds.

Lion Ranger(singing): It’s raining bombs, hallelujah, it’s raining bombs,

amen!

As he sings, he unclips the devices from his waist and throws them down to

Terra Venture. He watches as the explosions kill several GSA troops, destroy

the Comet Café and damage three other buildings.

Lion Ranger: And now, it’s time to…

He can’t finish his sentence as the energy surges crackle along his armour

again, the thrusters in his boots fail and he begins to fall. Just before he

hits the ground, the thrusters kick in again and he lands with a thump. He

holds his head in pain and roars once again, oblivious to the GSA troops

that are approaching. He stands up just in time to see the Red, Blue, Green

and Pink Galaxy Rangers approaching.

Lion Ranger: So, you’ve retrieved the Quasar Sabres. I have a weapon, but

it’s BIGGER than yours. Fire Sabre!

The Fire Sabre appears in his hand.

Lion Ranger: I see you’re missing a part of your team. I do hope she’s OK…

NOT!

He then charges at the Galaxy Rangers, laughing madly.

Lion Ranger: I had hoped for a little chat before we battled, but if you

want to die, now is a good a time as any.

Lion Ranger crashes headlong into the Red Ranger, keeping a tight grip on

him as he jets towards a building.

Red Ranger: Lion Ranger, stop. We can talk about this.

Lion Ranger ignores him. Red Ranger draws his Quasar Sabre and hits Lion

Ranger with it as hard as he can. The impact is enough to cause him to

momentarily loose his grip, allowing the Red Ranger to drop down and get

away. Lion Ranger continues on his course towards the building. Instead of

stopping, he crashes right through it, causing an explosion that knocks the

Galaxy Rangers back.

Blue Ranger: No one could have survived that.

The roof of the building explodes outwards in a shower of fire. Lion Ranger

flies upwards, clutching the Fire Sabre tightly.

Lion Ranger: This the end of the road for you, Power Rangers. VIBRA-LANCE!

In a flash of light, the Vibra-Lance appeared in his other hand. It was

almost as long as he was tall. It was made of a similar material to what his

Fire Sabre(?) was composed of, making it incredibly powerful in the arms of

a seasoned fighter.

Lion Ranger: Heads up RANGERS, here I COME.

The Vibra-Lance and the Fire Sabre glowed with white energy. Then they

merged together to form the mighty Fire-Lance.

Swinging the Fire-Lance, Lion Ranger rockets towards the Pink and Green

Rangers. He is about to hit them when two powerful energy blasts suddenly

slam into him, crashing him into a wall.

Red Ranger: We tried talking to you, but you wouldn’t listen.

Lion Ranger gets up and cackles madly.

Lion Ranger(head twitching): Yeah well, TALK TO THIS!

Lion Ranger thrust the Fire-Lance above him, creating a tornado of flame

around him. The tornado glowed super white hot, now fully charged. The fire

tornado shot out from Lion Ranger and slammed into Galaxy Red and Galaxy

Blue. The impact was so great that it caused them to de-morph.

Lion Ranger(cackling): What’s the matter kiddies, broke your TOYS?

He charges at the remaining Galaxy Rangers, but stops in his tracks as the

energy surges once again appear and crackle over his armour. He drops the

Fire-Lance, which dematerialises. He roars in pain as he falls to his knees.

Green Ranger: Let us help you, maybe…

Lion Ranger gets up, visibly in pain. He activates the thrusters in his

boots and flies above the Rangers.

Lion Ranger: This is merely a SETBACK. I’ll be back!

With those words still hanging in the air, Lion Ranger jets away at full

speed. His roars of pain hang in the air after he has left.
