"The Jealousy Bug"

Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
Drax is seated at his usual table at the same, drinking a cup of coffee. But unlike the other times, he’s not alone, seated at the table with him are Venomina and RaptorCon. And as usual, RaptorCon is eating; this time it’s a cheeseburger.
Venomina: So Drax, are you ready for tonight?
Drax: You bet I am
RaptorCon(Smiling): You two planning to sneak off for a bit of nookie?
Venomina: Oh knock it of RaptorCon, we’re NOT just going for some nookie... we’re going to the movies first
RaptorCon laughed and finished off the last of his cheeseburger, then belched.
RaptorCon: If you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go repair the Sky Screamer
Venomina: The what?
Drax: The vehicle FireStorm built yesterday, it got trashed by the family sized Dragantis
Setting: DarkStar - Bridge
Dameacon walks onto the bridge and sits in his throne.
Dameacon: Dragantis. Using the data we collected when you battled the rangers, have you selected a monster to do the job of destroying them?
Dragantis: Not quite my lord... I have another way that would not waste a monster
Dameacon: What is it
Dragantis: My lord, if I use a serum on the Pink Ranger, causing her to feel jealousy of Drax and another female, she will destroy the Red Ranger out of jealousy, either that or severely injure him enough to out him out of action
Dameacon: Excellent idea, but how do you plan on administering the serum, I doubt she’ll stand still and allow you to jab her
Dragantis: I’ll use one of my CyberBee’s to administer the serum. Plus I’ll have it rigged with a special surprise for the Rangers, should they show up
Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
A small, robotic bee, the CyberBee, buzzes through the air. It flies in lazy circles high above the colony, like a vulture circling a dying man. On it’s head is a small camera.
Setting: DarkStar - Bridge
Dameacon watches the view screen as the CyberBee dives down towards the colony, heading straight for Maya. The CyberBee lands on her neck and bites her, she flinches and instinctively scratches the bite mark, but the CyberBee flies away before she scratches the bite mark.
Dragantis: It is done my lord, when she next sees Drax with another female, it will send her mad with jealously
Dameacon: Good work, let’s hope it’s enough
Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
As Maya scratches the insect bite on the back of her neck, she sees Drax and Venomina walking away from her, chatting. She suddenly feels angry, she can feel the rage building within her. The sight of Drax with another woman makes her blood BOIL with anger.
Maya: After all the attention I’ve given him, he goes off with another... TART
Maya storms towards Drax and Venomina, just as they round the corner. She follows them and watches as Drax hugs Venomina.
Maya: YOU TART...
She yells as she lunges for Venomina. She swings her feet and fists in blind rage.
Drax: Maya, what are you doing?
Venomina: Have you lost your mind, savage
Maya: HE’S MINE, DO YOU HERE, MINE SO STAY AWAY
One of Maya’s clenched fists strikes Venomina on the left cheek. Venomina roughly pushes Maya away, she stumbles and falls roughly to the ground.
Venomina: You’ve lost your mind, Miranite
Maya: Drax is MINE, if you touch him again, I’ll KILL YOU
Maya gets up and runs away.
Setting: Unknown - Starship Bridge
Drax and Venomina teleport onto the bridge, Venomina sits at the aft science station down while Drax sits at the helm.
FireStorm: So, what’s up old friend?
Drax: The strangest thing just happened...
FireStorm: What?
Venomina: That Miranite savage Maya just attacked me
RaptorCon: She attacked you? I don’t suppose she was drunk or been drinking the Marijuana wine?
Drax: No, she kept saying I was hers, not Venomina’s. She then said that if she touches me again, she’ll kill Venomina
Venomina: If you ask em, she’s a few bricks short of a house
RaptorCon works the controls and brings up a medical scan of Maya on the main view screen. Everything seems normal.
RaptorCon: This is the last medical scan I took of here when she was in the medical quarters, now all I need is a scan of her now to compare it to...
He works the controls, and the view screen image changes and it now shows an aerial view of downtown Terra Venture.
RaptorCon: Hmmm, this is going to take a while
FireStorm: If you lock onto her morpher signature, you should be able to find her quicker
RaptorCon works the controls and the view screen image changes in rapid succession.
RaptorCon: It’s no good, I’ve locked on to her morpher’s energy signature, but I still can’t get a fix on her. It’s as if something is preventing the scanners from locking on
FireStorm: We’ll have to find her
Venomina: Why?
FireStorm: So we can cure her, with Dameacon on the loose, we need every Ranger in full health
Setting: Miranite Village
Maya storms into the village, still seething in anger and hatred. She can’t think of anything else except killing Venomina for taking Drax from her, and killing Drax, for not returning the love she feels for him.
Maya: If I can’t have him, NO ONE CAN
She roars in anger.
CyberBee: Why are you waiting around? Go after Drax and make him regret turning you down
A humanoid version of the CyberBee appears and stands next to Maya, whispering in her ear.
CyberBee: He ripped out your heart then SPAT in it, so why not rip his head off and SPIT down HIS NECK
Maya’s eyes gleam with anger and hatred.
Maya: Yes, YES, he rejected me now he’ll PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE
Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
An explosion knocks several people down as a new monster appears. The monster is a vehicular monster, with wheels instead of legs. To cut it short, he his half monster, half car.
HotWheels: Put the pedal to the metal...
With a screeching of tires, HotWheels shoots off down the street, shooting at people and buildings, causing explosions and death. CyberBee and Maya teleport in, CyberBee puts an arm around Maya and whispers in her ear.
CyberBee: When he shows up, KILL HIM
Maya: YES, DRAX WILL DIE
Suddenly, four energy beams slam into CyberBee, sending him crashing to the floor.
Red Lion Ranger: I hate insects...
Staying in mid air, Red Lion Ranger aims the Fire Saber at Pink Lion Force Ranger.
Red Lion Ranger: stand down Maya, I don’t want to hurt you...
She moves forward and Drax fires the Fire Saber right at her, she fireball slams into the ground, sending her crashing down.
Red Lion Ranger: But I didn’t say I wouldn’t hurt you
As CyberBee gets back up, he is knocked down again by RaptorCon. The dinosaur monster begins biting and scratching CyberBee.
RaptorCon: Get going and save her, I’ll handle but ugly here
Red Lion Ranger: Will you be okay?
RaptorCon; Yes, now get going
Red Lion Ranger descends down and grabs Maya, then teleports away with her. CyberBee kicks RaptorCon away, then gets up.
CyberBee: You may have stopped the jealous little Pink Ranger, but you’ll not stop the GIANT LOVE BUG
CyberBee is suddenly surrounded by a nimbus of energy as he starts to grow, and grow, and GROW. Soon he towers above the colony.
RaptorCon: Err guys and galls, isn’t it time you did the Megazord thing?
Setting: Unknown - Starship Bridge
FireStorm watches the view screen and sees CyberBee grow to giant size.
FireStorm: We’ve got a problem, we can’t form the MegaZord with only five Rangers
RaptorCon’s voice filters through the speakers.
RaptorCon; Why the hell not?
FireStorm: We’ve not had chance to modify them yet...
FireStorm fades off and works the controls furiously, the view screen image changes and displays a powerful weapon.
FireStorm: Drax is on his way to help, he’ll be armed with the Mega Armour
Setting: Unknown - Medical Quarters
Maya is strapped down to a Bio-Bed, but she is still kicking and screaming at Venomina.
Maya(Screaming): I’LL KILL YOU, YOU MUTANT FREAK. DRAX IS MINE, OR NO-ONE’S
Venomina: Listen Maya, I have...
She stops mid sentence and blast Maya in the face with a cloud of pink gas from her left hand side tubes.
Venomina:... every right to go after Drax
With Maya unconscious, Venomina begins to work the controls of the medical systems.
Computer: Alien toxin detected within test subject.
Venomina: Purge the toxin
Computer: Procedure underway
Venomina turns and watches as the medical systems go to work on Maya.
Setting: Downtown Terra Venture
RaptorCon narrowly avoids getting stomped on by CyberBee as Red Lion Ranger arrives.
Red Lion Ranger: Get back to base old friend, I’ll foot this one
RaptorCon: You sure?
Red Lion ranger: Yes, no go....
As RaptorCon teleports away, Red Lion Ranger taps his left wrist, and a new device appears on his left wrist.
Red Lion Ranger: Mega Armour, SUIT UP
(Mega Armour Activation Sequence)
A pair bracelets energise on Red Lion Ranger’s ankles and wrists in a flash of energy. The bracelets grow into new gauntlets, complete with built in Laser Blaster. A chest plate materialises on him, appearing to be oversized and bulky. The bracelets become energised, the energy engulfs the Guardian’s legs, feet, arms and hands. When the energy has faded, the guardians are almost all covered in a bulky, powerful armour. Behind their helmets, pieces of armour extend outwards and wrap around their helmets. The transformation continues as Red Lion Ranger’s weapons materialises in their right hand and a red, double barrelled Mega-Laser cannon materialises on their left arm, locked onto the gauntlet.
Red Mega Lion: Now this is more like it...
He aims the Mega Laser cannon and the Fire Saber at CyberBee and fires. The energy streaks towards him and slams into the giant robot, sending it crashing down in a series of rippling explosions.
Red Mega Lion: That was easy, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth...
He fires again and again, the repeated maelstrom of energy smashes into CyberBee, causing irreparable damage.
CyberBee: Oh CRAP...
They are his last words as he explodes in a ball of energy and fire.
Setting: DarkStar - Bridge
Dameacon and Dragantis watches the destruction of CyberBee.
Dragantis: My lord, I have failed you... I accept what ever punishment you see fit to give me...
Dameacon looks down at his loyal general.
Dameacon: CyberBee was just a humanoid version of one of your regular CyberBee’s, yes?
Dragantis: Yes my lord
Dameacon: The reason he was so easily beaten is the CyberBee’s are normally small, and not designed for combat
Dragantis: I will re-design them my lord, next time, they will NOT fail
Dameacon: Oh no, I have a plan which is in need of your technical skills, something that will make the Rangers, green with evil...
Setting: Unknown - Medical Quarters
Maya slowly sits up on the Bio-Bed and rubs her eyes.
Maya: What happened?
FireStorm: You were under the influence of a monster’s toxin, it caused you to become... jealous of Drax and Venomina’s friendship
Maya glances over to where Drax and Venomina are chatting.
Maya(With a hint of sadness): Why would I be jealous... I don’t like Drax that way
She gets off the bed and teleports way in a flash of pink energy.
