As many of you may know, I kickbox.  I have been for almost three years. Recently, the instructor, Herk, had to stop the class because he needed an operation on his left knee, which had been aggravating him as of late. I have created a small tribute to him, to say thanks.

Getting to annoy all the tennis players with our loud music:
This kickboxing class meant more to me than just beating people up.  The last 2 1/2 years have been great, Herk.  When things were down, I always looked forward to Monday, Wednesdays and Saturday mornings to clear my thoughts, and get away from everything.  I looked forward to coming to class. I could just be myself. No expectations.
I don't know what I'm going to do know because as much as I like doing stuff on the computer, kickboxing was much more fun. Through the bad and the good, the hurt and the pain. Kickboixng was my favorite thing to do. I also don't know if you'll try and do another class of some form. I have my thoughts on that, though.

Yogi Berra said "It ain't over till it's over". And he's right,  It ain't over.

PS- Sorry if you think this is a sappy rip-off of the Mastercard commercial.

Author's note: After only about two months, Herk decided to start the class again, and opted not to get surgery!
