I'm Rahil
Babooram – a singer/ songwriter/musician, living in
I'm a one-man band for my recordings [vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards,
percussion, etc.],
but when I
perform live I either play alone or get together a backing band (an example
being ‘Rahil Babooram with Come Together’ of which I had various live lineups
of since 2003, and former incarnations under the name ‘Gaura-Vani’
leading back to 1998).
I have been singing and composing my own songs and recording them
since I was 10 but only seriously from age 17 (1996/7) when I recorded my first
album’s demo [‘Gaura-Vani’] which was re-recorded in
studio in January 1999.
I'm currently finishing
up recording my 4th album entitled 'Cuatro' in studio
and my 1st 3 albums GAURA-VANI, SIMPLY RAHIL & ORANGE are

(I became a vegetarian
in 1993 and vegan in 2003 – I wasn’t aware of the horrors of the dairy industry
until then)

not least, A Special THANK YOU to my Parents - it is only due to Them, that
from birth and while growing up, that I became influenced by all the above
listed
It is only due to their great musical taste and record/tape collections that i have had that great exposure and advantage.

Back in highschool, various little bands
were put together and some of these friends went on to form other successful bands. One such band is ‘Bazodi’
(of which my brother was singer originally).
Some of the other bands to which I am connected are "Flying Crapaud" [which has been transformed into ‘Don’t Panic’] in which I played Keyboard in 2002,
and I have played Bass for metal outfit "KRUCIFIX" in studio
as well as live between June 2003 and June 2005.
I’ve also played Keyboard live for ‘Broken Mirroz’
during 2005 and 2006.
And played Bass live for the band ‘Solaris’ from June to December
2007.
