Deep in the heart of the woods
Tuck away from the rush of the world
Surrounded by only nature�s beauty
A lazy day as the stream ripples
Lightly over the pebbles
A bird sings an early morn song
Cheerful as the pansy colors
Gliding along the path that
Leads the way to my secret retreat.
Trees swaying to a soft blowing wind
As the sun shines brightly
Waking the little creatures
That brings me much delight
Watching as they scramble to
Gather their food preparing
Themselves for the long winter
All tuck away warm and safe
Only here I see in my secret retreat.
Here I sit content at my window
In this little simple cabin
The fire glowing of ambers
Shadows dancing on the wall
As the day draws to an end
Moonlight fills the darken sky
As a quiet hush falls outside
My eyelids heavy with sleep
Peacefully I rest in my secret retreat.
