POEMS: Silence

Silence, what do I wish to say of you?
Silence, how sweet thou art.
So close yet so far from me, this silence,
just a touch on my lips and my ills you conceal, dearest silence,
still I fail to grasp the wisdom there is in this silence,
like gentle waves on a body of water, you uphold hearts that falter, dear silence,
You hold the keys that unlock mysteries.
At its foot, I say of the cross,
There is Gods victory,
How would I have known this?
Who would have told me, if not my sister, silence,
Still you leave me far, far behind in the dust of confusion, my dear silence.
How I miss you my lady silence,
come back home brother silence,
stay forever with me mother silence,
I say no more.

Silence holds the keys that unlocks mysteries!
