POEMS: A Glimpse of Heaven

I am just a simple poet,
without colour, without beauty,
In a line, without a sense of duty.
So many things to choose from in life,
so many opportunities are open to this poor sojourner,
still one thing appeals to me or
should I say so many things
brought together perfectly in one:
a good song, a good smile, a confidante,
a good child, a sister, a brother, a padi mi,
a father, more like a mother.
All these brought into one is the peace that I have found.
Care needs to be taken not to lose this
precious flower, because for sure,
it is still going to shower,
nothing can stop it; no earthly power.
Prudence is all they seem to suggest,
even those whose ideas seem the roughest,
still I heed the call of Lady Wisdom,
Patience and hearty Good laugh will
see you to the promised land.
There, all cares will be cast away, neither
the eyes of men will bring disdain,
nor flaming tongues cause unrest.
One fact still remains,
I caught a glimpse of heaven this day.

Silence holds the keys that unlocks mysteries!
