POEMS: The Cloister
Within this earthly paradise,
within the four-walls of this boundless space,
the very arena where the human meets the divine,
a place where only grace survives,
and vice fear to tread,
the very idea found in the prophets
up to the time of Jesus,
The place of holy contemplation,
a place in the world, yet
withdrawn from the world,
a place where the dew of peace
rest upon seeking souls.
Little do men know of what goes on within,
for If they knew, they would confess,
The kingdom is here
a place of studious conversation,
with God and the Masters of the academia
from all time and places.
A place where only a few taste and
long for something else.
A breeding ground for love;
a love no one can erase,
a love on which I fix my gaze.
Oh place of retreat!
Desired more than another piece of meat,
my home, with air, most sweet,
making me rise up to my feet,
filling my heart with joy so complete,
even the unbelieving wants to have a see,
but nay, rather, desire to see,
what no eyes have seen, nor ears heard,
nor that has entered the hearts of men,
what the Lord has prepared for his people.
I dont know who it is that fate keeps calling me to,
I dont wan to believe, may be all I need is the right attitude,
involvement in a relationship is not my queue,
but what do I do?
Follow my heart and let God do it too.
(I write about one whom I have become fond of)
I believe she is beautiful in heart and in soul,
I believe she is brave, because it takes a lioness to track down a prey,
I do not mean that in a violent sense
I believe she is intelligent, because she just read my mind.
I believe she is a mother; giving me food, not of the flesh,
but of the soul, giving me a reason to go on.
She is a friend and a sister too,
this much I know is true.
I want to thank you for making my dreams come true.
Hail Mary.....
