"Best Friends"
We've been through alot over the years
We've had our laughs and we've had our tears.
Sometimes you told me what I should do
But, I hardly ever listened, for I thought I was smarter than you.
Every time I fell in love and was hurt in the end
You'd say, "Hey let's just pretend
That you really didn't love him, as you had thought,
And all of your problems had been his fault."
What would I have done if you had not been there
Just to lend an ear and show that you cared.
I know I have told you, but I'll say it again
Thank you, so much, for being my friend.
