| Hush Hush "No! Leave me alone!" Carla screamed in horror as she ran down Sallerio Street. Her heals kept knocking on the pavement loudly. She tried to hold herself from looking backwards but the temptation was taking over her. The street seemed to be deserted. Carla attempted to trick whoever it was that was after her by crossing the road. She looked around and saw the P3 sign flickering a few blocks away. "Run" Carla looked around in fear. The horrible whisper was surrounding her. She ran. She ran as fast as she could, unfortunately, it wasn't fast enough. Carla never made it to P3. "Don't be afraid" it whispered; hovering above Carla's head. She tried screaming but her vocals were worn out; her body was paralyzed. The alley in which she lay was dark except for a large sign, which shaded a small light onto her face. "Please" she begged quietly as tears ran down her eyes. "Hush little baby, don't you cry I'm gonna sing you a lullaby" "No! NOOOO!!!" ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ "Hey" Phoebe smiled, as she walked towards Phoebe and Prue; they were sitting by the bar of P3. "Hey" Prue answered quietly, looking behind Phoebe's shoulder. "Hi" Piper said and smiled. "Listen, I just had the best premonition of my life" Phoebe said with excitement and looked at Piper and Prue. "Yeah..?" Piper asked. "A, Prue? Hello? "I'm listening" Prue mumbled back to Phoebe. Clearly, she was not listening. Something else was occupying her. More thoughts than she even knew ran through her mind. "Prue!" Phoebe snapped her fingers in front of Prue's face. Prue turned to her, as if snapping out of hypnosis. "Okay!" the excitement returned to Phoebe's voice, "Here I am, sitting on the sofa, right there" she said and pointed at a sofa, that was hidden behind the crowds, "never mind, and suddenly, I see a man; tall, dark and most definitely handsome. I couldn't see his face exactly but Oh! Was he gorgeous!" Prue smiled and exchanged looks with Piper. "Anyways, you didn't hear the good part yet! Just as he was about to turn to me, I" Phoebe stopped in fright as she saw a premonition. "Another premonition?" Piper asked. "I'm afraid it's hardly as similar to the last one" Phoebe mumbled in slight shock. "What? Phoebe, what did you see?" Prue asked and stood up. "A" Phoebe turned and ran quickly; making way pass the crowd. Prue and Piper followed her agilely. "Oh my god" Prue covered her mouth with her right hand. Phoebe walked towards the woman slowly. "Why?" Phoebe whispered and bent down beside her. "Phoebes? We should call the police" Piper said. The body and the sidewalk around it were covered in blood. The sight was horrifying. ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ "Who would do something like that?" Phoebe asked; focusing her eyes on the kitchen counter. "I don't know honey" Prue said; handing Phoebe a hot cup of tea. She touched her shoulder, trying to comfort her. "Thanks". "Nothing" Piper said and closed The Book. "We don't really know what we're looking for" Phoebe said quietly. The phone ring interrupted her thoughts. Piper picked up the tube, looking at her sisters, "Hello?" "Piper Halliwell?" asked a man's voice. "Yes. Who's this?" piper asked. "I'm from Internal Affairs. I thought it would be best to call before questioning you in person" he said. "Uh, great I've already talked with the police". "I'm well aware of that, Miss Halliwell, but I'm afraid I will have to insist". "Fine, just not tonight, okay?" "All right, I will be stopping by P3 tomorrow". Piper put the tube down and looked at Prue, "I understand about their need to question me, but this is seriously overboard, just a little bit" she claimed and sat beside Phoebe. "The girl's face was so peaceful. Nevertheless, there was a sign on her chest. Did you see it?" Prue asked. "A sign?" "Yes" Prue said and looked at Phoebe, she looked blank. "It looked like it was scorched onto her flesh" she continued. "Uh, Prue, why must you describe these things so vividly?" Piper said in sarcasm. "It's horrible" Prue said and looked at Piper. "Lets go back there" Phoebe said; looking at Prue. "Now?" Piper asked. "Yes; Now. Come on" Phoebe said and walked out of the kitchen and into the parlor. "Excuse me Ma'am, you cant go through here without authorization" said a police officer, holding Piper back from coming closer. The entire scene was crowded with PoliceMen, along with some curious citizens sniffing around. "I'm the owner of the club" Piper said and looked at him, "I'm authorizing our entrance myself!" She said and walked under the yellow line. Phoebe looked around the scene, touching the pavement, the road, the walls, and trying to get a premonition. Suddenly, it hit her. She saw the back entrance to P3; right where she was standing at the moment. "Phoebes?" Prue asked; approaching Phoebe. Phoebe opened her eyes and looked at Prue, "weird. I just had another premonition". Prue looked at her attentively. The P3 sign flickered a light onto her face. "I saw the same guy who was in the first premonition. Only, he was here; right here" she said and pointed down at the pavement. "Did you see his face?" Prue asked. "No" Phoebe shook her head. "Hey, you guys look at this" Piper said and approached them, hiding a small piece of cloth from the policemen. "What is it?" Phoebe asked. "I found it in the corner over there" Piper said and looked around, suspiciously. "Give it to me" Prue said and put it into her purse. ~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~ "Could it have been a cult of some sort?" Piper assumed while following Prue down the stairs. "I doubt it. Why would they just leave her there? It's would be completely reckless". "I'll check The Book again" Phoebe said and walked out of the living room. "Phoebe, wait!" Prue said as she stood between the parlor and the living room. "What?" Phoebe asked and walked down the stairs to Prue. "Piper, did you put The Book back in the Attic before we left?" Prue asked without taking her eyes off the sofa. "Yes" Piper said, she was onto Prue's trail of thought. "Are you sure?" Phoebe joined in and asked. "Positive" "Someone was here" Prue said and looked around; "Phoebes, you look around here; Piper, you look down in basement and I'll look upstairs and in the attic". ~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ "Anything?" Piper asked; running into Phoebe next to the stairs. "Nothing" Prue said and walked down to them. "What could it have been? It couldn't have been a Demon because The Book protects itself from evil" Phoebe said. "True. Then, what was it?" "I have no idea" Prue said and looked at them with misery. "What?" Phoebe asked. "Maybe I could have saved her. If had had my powers" Prue said and looked at her sisters. "There's no point in tormenting yourself over this now, is there?" Piper asked. "No but then again, I don't know how to get my powers back!" Phoebe looked away from Prue; she had no clue of what to say to her. "Hey, what's this?" she asked while traveling with her eyes across their surroundings; and picked up an envelope off the wooden floor. "Oh, the electricity bill" Piper said, "I totally forgot about it". "Whoa! This is expensive" she said and showed it to Prue. Prue closed her eyes. "Forget it for now. First, we should try to search The Book. There are more important things at stake here than paying bills" Phoebe said and walked into the living room. "Whoever got The Book down here, must be trying to help us. Somehow" she said and sat down, placing The Book on her knees. "This wasn't here the last time I've checked" Piper said while Phoebe was flipping through the pages; examining each and every page carefully. "This?" Phoebe asked and turned the page back. "Exactly" Piper said and passed her finger on the inscribing. Prue put her hands in her pockets and looked at The Book from above their heads. "A potion" Piper read quietly to herself. "I don't think weaving incantations can do much for us" Prue said. "There's nothing that can help us here" Piper looked up at her. ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ "Hey" Phoebe said as she walked into the kitchen. Prue quickly put the paper down on her knees; eyeing Phoebe in a semi guilty look. "Hi" "What's with you?" Phoebe asked and looked at her. "Nothing?" "Are you trying to convince me or yourself?" "I'm fine Phoebe" she said and waited for Phoebe to turn to the refrigerator. Prue quickly lifted the paper back up and circled two lines with a red pen. "Did you see the classified this morning? I've looked all over the living room" Phoebe said and turned to Prue. "A" Prue mumbled and tried to toss the paper away with her powers but then remembered she didn't have any. Not anymore. Phoebe looked at her warily and paced towards her. "What are you hiding?" Phoebe asked and looked down at Prue. "Nothing" Prue mumbled. "You're a lousy liar, you know? You should take lessons from me" Phoebe said and lifted the newspaper off Prue's knees. "Why are you reading the classified section?" Phoebe asked. Prue exhaled and looked away from Phoebe, "I quit my job yesterday" she mumbled quietly. She could feel Phoebe's anger rising rising and rising, "what!? Why, Prue?!" Phoebe panicked. "Look, there is no reason to get upset" "No reason!? Prue, we can't live on one paycheck!" Phoebe stormed. "Why all the shouting in the morning?" Piper asked, yawning. "Hmm youre gonna yell now Prue quit her job yesterday!" Phoebe said, she wanted to have Piper on her side. "You did what?!" Piper asked, holding her hands up in the air. Suddenly, the chandelier above them shuddered all over the kitchen. "Are you guys okay?" Prue asked and stood up slowly. "Yeah" Phoebe said and looked at Piper, "maybe you should keep your hands where we can see them" "Well see, things do happen for a reason" Piper said in a cynical tone and looked at Prue, "it's a good thing I blew it up! Theyre gonna cut off our lights tomorrow anyways!!!" "Oh, Piper! I am sorry, okay? I just can't work there anymore, not after" "Not after what?" Phoebe asked curiously. Prue looked away, and then turned back to Phoebe, "I I, oh god, I cannot even say it. Yuck!" she looked at Piper and continued, Pale faced; "When I cast the personal gain spell, Malloy appeared in my car and hmmm," Prue hinted with disgust. "Oh my god!" Piper's face softened into a smile. "I'm sorry; we're just going to have to be on a lower budget for now, till I get a new job; which by the looks of isn't going to be very soon" Prue said and looked at them. "You know what? We have a bigger issue to deal with now, all right?" Piper said and walked away. "She's mad" Prue said and looked at Phoebe. "Yup" ~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ "Reading cards," she laughed. "Yeah all right. I will talk to you afterwards Phoebe. Bye" she hung up the phone and looked around the empty apartment. "I still have all these boxes to move" Samantha said to herself and walked around. Suddenly, the lights went off. She turned in fear and quickly took a hold of her necklace. An emulate. "Shh." Samantha lifted her left hand; she took a deep breath, getting ready to attack. "I was expecting you," she said rather calmly. "Hush witch...," the whisper echoed throughout the apartment. The sun light blocked from shining into the living room. She felt it was not who she thought it was. Suddenly, before she could react, it glued her to the opposite wall. "No! Nooo!" she screamed. ~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ "I'm coming!" Phoebe called as she walked into the Parlor. "Hello. Miss Halliwell? Phoebe Halliwell?" "Yes" Phoebe said and looked at the man. "I'm detective Persey" he said and smiled. "Oh, a how can I help you, detective?" "May I?" he asked and looked into the Manor, above Phoebe's shoulder. "Of course" Phoebe said and stepped away from the door. "As you may have already imagined, I'm here referring to the two murders". "Two? You are probably talking about the poor woman from last night. I'm really sorry but I can't help you with much there". |
