The Headless Horseman

The Headless Horseman
Hurtles down the road
Every night

He hurtles along the road
Evening after evening
As the townsmen huddle scared in their homes
Down the road they traveled at dawn and there at the end of the bridge
Lay the body of Icabod Crane
Everyone knew what had happened, they had heard the
Screams that came before the
Silence

How horrid the sight was, the sight
Of icabod's
Rotting body, rotting
Silently on the cold dirt ground
Every night the people think about how the
Mighty Horselman rides
And searches for victems every
Night in Sleepy Hollow
