A True Princess
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Emily. She went to visit her grandma at her house near a creek. Every day the girl and her grandma would spend time baking and working in the garden, while every night Emily's Grandma would tell her a story. Oh, how she just loved story time. One night her Grandma told her the tale of the Frog Prince. Emily loved how the princess was able to change the frog into a prince with a simple kiss. Not even the witch's evil spell could keep them apart. Her grandma told Emily that all girls are princesses. If that was true, then where was her prince?
Emily made up her mind to find her prince. She traveled to the creek to find an enchanted frog so she could kiss it and turn it into a handsome prince. Once she arrived at the creek she resolved not to leave until she found her prince. She searched under every rock and in every puddle. Each time she came upon a frog she would kiss it, but not one transformed into a prince. Wasn?t she a princess? Why couldn?t she find a prince? Emily was so confused. She ran home crying and told her grandmother that all little girls were not princesses. Her Grandma sat down with her and said that each little girl has someone who cares about her. That makes them princesses. She said, "I love you Emily and you will always be a princess in my eyes."
