It seems everybody is wearin' Circas today (yes even me). Circa's flagship model, the CM901 shoe designed by Chad Muska, is being worn everywhere. Circa is one of todays hottest skate companies with a good team (Chad Muska, Jamie Thomas, Adrian Lopez).

Lets start with the construction. The shoe has a California style construction, and features a durable synthetic upper. One note on the shoe is its very forward and the part that is supposed to hold your heel slants forward, so at first you have to get used to this feeling. Anyway, there is breathable nylon mesh on the toe and sides. The tongue is thick, and on the left shoe, is a 'stash pocket' in the tongue. Dual pressurized airbags in the toe and heel, 10 psi nitrogen filled airbag in toe, and 25 psi nitrogen airbag in heel provide for comfy shock absorbtion.
The shoes look great, compare to other skate shoes. Some people say the shoes are too good, they are too loaded with features, that they lose some functionality. Yes that is true, I have noticed the bulky ollie pad on the side of the toe area does interfere with flip tricks. I have also noticed the my right shoe (I skate regular) has considerable wear and tear, while the left does not. The shoes could be a little more durable. But over all, if you set aside $100, you can have the coolest shoe on the market. Its up to you, if you like to feel good about your shoes, fine feel good, but for hard skating skaters, you might want to consider buying some cheaper shoes, that you don't care for.
