Well I pretty much guess that you guys have your own way of using a lure to work with..
But anyway I would like to share wif you guys wat I know about lures and also on how to works liao to my nest knowledge.

 

Basic Theory about LURES

To start with there are many types of lures such as Soft Plastics and Hard lures. Not to mention also Floating Lures, Shallow Lures and also Sinking Lures.. All with the different variations to reach the fishes you wish to target with. To use lures effectively, we must first understand on how to lures works and wat kind of fish we are intending to catch today. But also not to forget we must also understand roughly wat kind of terrian we are going to fish in....


Soft Plastics



The above is an example of a soft Plastic. It comes in different colours and also is widely produce from many fishing companies suchs as : Berkely, EcoGear etc etc. Anyway to use it most effectively we have to try to let the soft plastic sink and then giving it a twich on your rod and then reeling in abit... then let it sink again sightly longer and giving a twich again..



This is roughly how it should look like.. but then again there are many ways of rigging up a soft plastic. Which including rigging it up wif a jig-head thus many the soft plastic sink deeper to reach for fishes like maybe Groupers.
Then again its going to be a hard pains-taking effort to land a fish on a soft plastic. Which I have been trying but to no Avail, but I wont be giving up though.


Hard Plastics



The above are hard Lures.. Anyway they can be use in almost every suitation you get urself in.When in fishing of cos. Its actually quite easy to use as some may prefer just a slow retrieve or maybe a short twich in between..
SO as to imitate a injure bait fish. It can be found very easliy in almost every fishing shop in Singapore or I can say also in the whole WORLD too..
Lure fishing has become one of the ways to actually to save money when fishing and also to ensure abite from the fish IF the fish is around the area of cos.
The short bip kind of Lures are normally the Shallow lures. Where as if you bought a lure which is a longer and larger bip, it means it will dive dipper as you crank in the lure. Therefore when choosing the lure to go fishing with, we must in turn understand the terrian we are going to fish in.
Cant expect to use a shallow lure in a deep rocky water terrian rite.
Or vice versa a deep diving lure on a shallow water terrian.. which will inturn most pro going to get you a stuck lure.

Lure Retriever



This is just a sample of a lure retriever. As there are many kinds of lure retrievers in the market, it main purpose. Hehe well is to save lures when they are snagged on the bottom of the ocean floor.
This is definately a MUST for all Lure-fisherman. Pls Heed this advice if not you will live to regret it.
