Author's Note - This story came out of participating in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) this year. If you don't know about this, it is where you write at least 50,000 words in the month of November. It is fun and frustrating, but a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. This story is *not* beta-ed. So any mistakes in grammar, spelling, and context are mine and I am truly sorry.
There were things about Harry and Ron's personality that I wanted to, well, analyze, for lack of a better word. This circumstance was the best way for me to write it.
And another thing - I hope Miamians are not upset by anything I have written. I love Miami and picked to have Harry and Ron go on vacation there out of love for the city. So no harm or fun-making was intended in the least.
Title - Getting Away
Author - Lena
Pairing - Harry/Ron, Harry/various OC's (slash and het), Ron/OC (slash)
Rating - G through NC-17 - will say when I post each chapter. Chapters are of varying lengths as well.
Warning - There are my own Original Characters in this story that do descriptive things with Ron and Harry (but mostly Harry). There is also crossover fiction. See Disclaimers.
Genre - Romance, Angst, Drama, Humor. Well, okay, there's tons of stuff going on.
Spoilers - Can't think of any.
Disclaimers - I don't own Harry or Ron or anything in the HP world. JKR does (and Warner Bros, et al). Even though they are not really mentioned by name in my story, the owners would recognize themselves if they read this (yeah, right), so I don't own the television show or the baseball team or any people associated with them. I also do not own any public or private buildings in Miami and the surrounding areas that I may have mentioned or eluded to.
Feedback - [email protected] - but please don't flame me if you hate the OC's or the crossovers or the het, because you have been warned.
Summary - Harry and Ron go on a Muggle vacation. Feelings bubble to the surface and they have to deal with their changing friendship, now that they are adults.
Acknowledgments - Thank you, as always, to Lorien_Eve. She kept me going and gave me support, as she always does. I just couldn't make her beta this monster on top of it!
