The HQ for the Special Forces Intelligence department is Star Base Bragg which is situated in the Omega System not far from Aldebaran.
All data collected by operatives, ODA unit officers and Sector assigned Officers, is sent to HQ for analysis and recording.
The SSFI can be seen as a fairly new Unit established during SD2402.
The Director of this Unit is a Field commander who operates from a vessel. He communicates and returns to HQ only when necessary.

He is the first line of contact between the various units and officers of the SSFI.
He interfaces with them and Colonel Zanchin and then in turn coordinates with the Commander of SSF Admiral Hunter.
