| Borg Agressive non-cooperative species. Occasionally intrusive into SF territory, Regarded as deadly War status. |
| Borg Socio-Political configuration. Originally it was thought that the Borg was controlled by a single hive mind. However Theta Fleets encounter with the Borg showed that they have a more complex interlacing of Queen's that are all linked. One Queen is killed and the net adjusts to compensate, making them harder to defeat. |

| Borg Vessels There are a number of configurations for Borg Vessels. Tactical Cubes can be seen as their Battleships and are of the highest risk priority. Borg Spheres are much smaller and can be seen as patrol or scout vessels. They still have the same capabilities as the larger cubes but are no match for a Fleet of Federation ships. The Borg Queen's has a sphere that has a stronger Tactical capability than the normal configuration. Any Borg Vessel is to be treated with utmost caution. |
| Intelligence file Last known contact with the Borg was during Theta Fleets conflict with them during SD2401. They suddenly withdrew from Federation territory after taking a number of unexpected set backs. Notably they were defeated at Xonnel Colony when a Borg Invasion landing base emmitted a Chronaton wave and it is thought it entered a Temporal flux. The Borg are resident of the DELTA quadrant and at this time SSFI have not been ordered to mionitor their activities. SSFI are at this time considering the possibility that the Borg are redeveloping their strategy and weapons to compensate. Most information is passed through Star Fleet or Star Fleet intelligence at this stage. Operations for information gathering are regarded as highly dangerous and the development of proprietary technology to allow such an operatuion is still on the drawing board. |
| Tactical Data With the advancement in weapons technology Star Fleet Vessels stands a much better chance of holding off any Borg invasion. It would still mean that great losses could be suffered by Star Fleet. But with the correct tactical manouvers and numbers Borg cubes can be defeated. The most worrying tactical issue is the reports of CLOAKED DRONES. In a cloaked condition they emit a resonant hum which can be used to locate them. The problem being that they can assimulate whilst cloaked making them deadly. Using Ma' Kleth or bladed weapon and close quarters combat techniques, the Drones can be killed. The Marines on Xonnel were able to achieve this but at great cost. The closer you are to the Borg the greater the chance of assimilation. |
