PROLOGO
In the medicine like in the religions, different " doctrines " exist (Allopathy, Homeopaty, Naturopaty, etc.), and each one announces for himself to know the only and true God (therapeutic); while the Allopathy protests to the Homeopaty, among other things objective, concrete and verified scientific foundations; this one protests to him as well on the " harmful and aggressive thing " of its therapeutic ones. The Naturopaty does not remain either back, protesting to him to the Allopathy, the toxicity of its chemistries and to the Homeopaty it indicates to him that it does not have to cure the symptoms of the patients, but the causes that cause them; being its therapeutic one of "apple of the discodium". On this subject we could deepen much more and to the only thing that we would arrive, it is to the conclusion that all these " doctrines " have as purpose of curing and some times until use the phrase " to cure without damaging "; from where extensions and inspirations are derived that also form the base of a New Functional Pathology. The " primun non nocere ", of the school of Hipocrates (Century IV A.C.), effective by many centuries, and that until this Century XX must be replaced, because the primicia of not making damage, leads to the negativismo and the abstention and invalida the Medicine. Although the postulates are not always independent, their graduation is: first to alleviate, second to cure and third not to make damage. Let us put the case of the most important symptom, the pain; when all the disease, is of simpatitic origin, alleviating it with anesthesia of the Simpatic one leads to the treatment. When the pain is symptom, as in the case of the cancer it must be alleviated, still without producing cures sometimes to the disease and still damaging, as it is the case of narcotics, since he would be cruel to respect the hipocratic principle or to put in front philosophical or doctrinary prejudices. A prejudice is an advance judgment of the facts, assuming to know beforehand, the situation relative to the case and without analyzing and reasoning the phenomena carefully emits the judgment; it is for that reason that when in this work it suggests the splachnic infiltration with the local anesthetics and neurotrofic and antineuritic substances , with the purpose of alleviating the pain and of curing sufferings or diseases, easily can be fallen in several prejudices, that go from if this therapeutic one it is a noncurativo palliative and, until the one to accuse it of humbug, or most benevolent than they would be to confuse it with the German Neural Therapy, associating it with Chinese Acupuncture or relating it to the treatments conducted in the Pain Clinics. He is for that reason that we have decided to process this " Simpatology Compendium " with works of the Dr Miguel Lopez Esnaurrizar, written between 1951 and 1976 (his first publication dates from year 1933), who dedicated its professional life, (70 years) to sustain the bases of this revolutionary therapeutic which I call "Splachnotherapy or Simpaticotherapy".(" Simpatology Compendium", 1997)
