Christmas is what is happening. Concerts, Children's Bathrobe Spectaculars, Food, Parties, Shopping, Church Services, Decorations, Work.
There is so much going on that I baredly have time to focus. But through it all there is a growing sense of hope that light will dawn, the peace will come and reighn! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
The lively bluegrass sound of Foxfire, from Farminton, New Mexico. Great instrumentalists. Great variety. Foxfire played to an appreciative crowd and Fruita United Methodist, 7:00 pm Sunday, December 17th. promise to return in late April.
I had the joy of being selected by the Western Colorado Chorale and invited to join them in the performance of the B Minor Mass, by Johann Sebastian Bach. What wonderful experience! The three months of preparation, the wonderful voices surrounding me, the expert direction and interpretation of the music by Dr. Monte Atkinson, Director of Choral Music at Mesa State College, and the final performace at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in downtown Grand Junction accompanied by the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, left me forever grateful. This valley has so many wonderful artists and musicians. What an exciting place to live!
