That marble column to the left is freaken giant! They line the inner nave of the church. It is in the same style as Duhram- which I wasn't able to take pictures in (Norman). |

So we have Norman columns mixed in with the Gothic style. This is the main alter of the church |

I don't take a lot of pictures of these things, but a lot of the bishops and nobles like to be buried in style. They are all over these Minsters- like I said before these churches are graveyards. |

One of my favorite Saints- Saint George! Doing what he does best- slaying dragons! This is a center piece behind one of the side chapels within the Minster. |

Yeah, this is just cool. We got Adam and Eve getting their genitals chomped on on the far left! I think Satan is trying to cop-a-feel with Eve there! How cool is that! These serpets sure do dig the genitalia- check out the center guy- He might be actually enjoying that! Notice the second one to the right -that is funny- the guy has his hand over his genitals like "I know your tricks! I am not going out like Adam!" Ha..ha..! Then on the far right you have the Harrowing of Hell by Jesus- not a popular thing that I have seen in the art so far- but one I have been looking for. Notice how he is standing on the Devil and pulling free all the people from the literal mouth of Hell. This was just cool! |

Here we have the enthroned Christ- what's this!- NEWS BREAK!- Jesus Christ has excommunicated the birds that have crapped on him. The birds have since fled and are residing in the Castle Keep trying to figure out how to get back on his good side- Back to your local broadcast! Ok, seriously, this is an awesome detail- minus the poo. All the angels are wisking people up to Jesus to be judged, and I am sure saved. The tweleve apostles are in a ring over Christ, and the rings outside of that have stuff going on too. This was so high up it was hard to get close shots. |

This is the Chapter House connected to the Minster. This is located in the back of the Minster. The statue to the right is actually the great writer Alfred Lord Tennyson. Notice the flying buttressses- those columns sticking out around the structure of the Chapter House in order to give it support. These are kind of small flyers, and I expect to see some really large ones when I go to the continent. |
