When: July to September 1994.
With: Alex, Davide.
Itinerary: Inbound flight to Lima, Nazca, Arequipa, Cabanaconde, Chivay, Arequipa, Puno(Sillustani), Amantani, Puno, Copacabana, La Paz, Valle Luna, La Paz Tiwanaku, Potoś, Uyuni, Salar de Uyuni, Laguna Colorada, Laguna Verde, Uyuni, Potoś, Sucre, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Trinidad, Rurennabaque, Amazonia, Rurennabaque, La Paz, Cuzco, Inca Trail, Machu Pichu, Cuzco, Lima, flight back to Milan.
Transportation: we used Buses all over, train only between Arequipa to Puna , from Cuzco to the Inca trail start and on the way back from Machu Pichu to Cuzco, we went on a couple of boats as well.....(I cant believe I am still alive!!!), and we had a flight from Cuzco to Lima.
Books I had with me: Lonely Planet South America(Peru and Bolivia). Small diary.
A few raccomandations: avoid going to Santa Cruz and Trinidad in Bolivia......es la muerte!!!(I mean there nothing to do and to see......) dont miss the Inca Trail......it is tuogh but we you get to the Machu Pichu you feel like an Inca! Even if you walk around in T-shirts and boots.......local people will consider you a tuorist, allways watch the few things you have.............and be ready to get the cultural shock of your life!!!!
NOW............I want to say HI and to thank KEES and KIM (Holand).....you guys are great, I am so glad I got to know YOU........John(England) that was the best grass ever smoked!!.........Rica (japan)such a tuogh girl!..Miri and Tali(Israel)the sweetest girls.........I know I am forgetting a bunch of you guys out there....I apologyze!!
