Chapter 5

Mademoiselle?

Margot groaned softly.

Mademoiselle? the persistent voice repeated, a little louder this time.

She stayed still.

Miss! the voice yelled suddenly.

Margot instantly rose from her resting position.

What?  What!

The stewardess smiled sweetly.

Mademoiselle, Im sorry to have to wake you, but we will be landing in Orlando in a few short moments.  I need you to-

Fasten my seat belt and return my seat and tray table to the upright position, Margot smiled as she and the woman said the same words simultaneously. I got ya.

The stewardess smiled a thank you and proceeded to walk to the back of the plane.  Margot did as she was told and waited patiently for the plane to land.  She didnt mind flying, lord knows shed had her fair share of planes in her lifetime, being a makeup artist in the fashion business, but she did hate landing.  The screeching and the ear popping and the loud rumbling.  No, landing was not her thing.

Bing.  Ladies and gentlemen, we are now beginning out descent into the Orlando area.  For those of you continuing on flight 307 to Los Angeles, please stay on board the plane.  That leg of our trip will commence at 5:30 pm.-

Margot looked down at her watch-
5:15.

For the rest of our passengers, we hope you had a wonderful flight and thank you for choosing Air France.

Margot almost smiled to herself when she heard the name of the place she once called home.  Almost.

The plane finally landed and she quickly unbuckled her seat belt.  She looked up at the people exiting the plane.  Her eyes though, rested longest on a young couple.  Although they were rushing to get off the plane, they were both clasping the others hand lovingly.    The girl noticed Margot looking at them and clumsily took her hand out of his grip.  He frowned slightly, but advanced upon her and slipped an arm around her waist.  She looked horribly embarrassed and tried to shy away.  He stared at her, trying to make her forget whatever was troubling her mind until she smiled and they quickly kissed on the lips.

Margots mouth drooped a little at the corners as she watched the couple walk away.

He used to love me like that.

Before she could stop it, a lonely tear slid down her cheek and fell into her open palm.  She looked at the moist spot on her hand dumbly before watching another fall not far from the first.  It didnt take much longer for her to realize she had been crying.  She strangely closed her hand and looked at the share covering her window.  With the other hand, she pushed the tan shade back up and glanced out of the window.  The bright Floridian sun beamed into her face as she watched workers place more luggage beneath the plane.  She let another tear roll down her other cheek but she quickly wiped her face free of any and all wetness.  She rubbed her hands together, drying them with the friction and looked back to the aisle.

JC had gotten to the airport just in time.  He hadnt been disorganized or late, on the contrary, hed been extremely ready to go at any time.  He just couldnt risk a fan seeing him if hed gotten there early.  At 5:28, he walked leisurely onto the plane but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw her.  A young woman, his age, maybe a year younger looking down.  For a second, he thought she was asleep, but was startled to see a small tear roll down her cheek.  He felt his heart breaking all over again for the second time in the short span of two days.  He saw another tear fall into her hand and watched, interested, as she opened the window shade and looked outside.  For the first time, he noticed her unmistakable beauty.  She had high cheekbones and exquisitely shapes eyebrows.  Her loosely curly hair was dark brown, almost black, but where the sun from the small window hit her locks, they shone a sweet brownish red.  Her nose was cute, if one could call a nose cute, and her lips were full, but not so much as to say that they were pouty.  She had the tiniest hint of a dimple in her right cheek, but couldnt be too sure, for she was far from smiling.  She was incredibly attractive but the thing that captured his attention the longest was her eyes.  The large, expressive orbs almost glowed a deep jade.  They were the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen.

He walked down the aisle and found that he and she were to sit next to each other.  He almost smiled.  He stopped at his seat and watched her quickly rub her hands over her face and then together, as if she knew she was about to meet someone.  He spoke up.
