Chapter 27

*******
Soon after arriving back in his room, Justin heard a series of doors slam.  For a moment, he wondered what the ruckus was all about, but his mind soon wandered back to JC and his, ahem, problem.  Justin smiled when he remembered the way his friend has been acting.  It had been so obvious that JC felt
something for Margot, but until now, he had no idea just how strongly he felt.  Justin frowned when he heard another door slam.  He quickly walked to his bedroom window and looked out on the beach.  His eyes immediately found a small figure sitting near the surf.  Although he was quite a distance away, Justin knew it was JC.  And by the looks of it, JC had a dilemma.

*******

The azure ocean, the sapphire sky, the placid wind, the warm sand.  There were a multitude of things that could have been plaguing JC Chasez.  But none of them popped into his mind.  Not even once.  There was only one thing that ran, or should we say,
danced through his mind.  Ever since last night, when JC witnessed her secret recital, visions of her constantly clouded his mind.  From the first sight, as much as he tried to deny it, he was attracted to her.  But as they got to know each other and as she slowly opened up to him, he realized that there was suddenly much more than just a simple attraction.

Every word that came out of her mouth sounded like poetry, flowing from between her lips, flying through the thick California air and wrapping itself around his forlorn body.  Every wave of her arm or kick of her leg seemed to send shockwaves through the house they shared, finding him wherever he was and sending tiny tremors through his brain.  Even with the smallest smile, she could launch gorgeous fireballs into the air, finding him within nanoseconds and driving him crazy with their incredible warmth.

God, Im pathetic. JC mumbled.  He hated being so damned clich, but there was no other way to describe what she did to him.  He had never in his life been so hung up about a girl before.  He didnt remember even feeling this way about Roxanne, the person he thought he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.  And
thats what scared him.  Hed been going out with Roxanne for three years.  And hed known her for even longer.  JC met Margot less than a week ago.  A week.  And he felt like hed known her forever.  Despite her reluctance to let him in, he felt closer to Margot after 4 days of friendship than he had after over 1,000 days of love with Roxanne.

Which led JC to his next problem.  That wretched sheet of paper.

Last night, after hed gotten back in to his bed, no matter how tired his body was, his mind refused to allow him rest.  She wouldnt stop dancing, she wouldnt stop smiling.  And her eyes, her eyes never stopped looking at him as if she knew something he didnt.  When JC accepted the fast that he was going to get little to no sleep that night, he tried working on his latest song.  When that went nowhere, he just started scribbling down all the things that were going through his mind.  The past tour, the upcoming CD, his family, the group, even Roxanne.  They were all things he wrote about.  But the one thing that took up the largest amount of paper space was Margot.  Every feeling, every desire, every hope, every dread,
everything that came to his mind when he thought of the woman who resided in the bedroom beside his was put down on that sheet of paper.  And now, now that very same woman had read every word.

JC put his face in his hands and fell back onto the sand below him.  He hadnt meant for Margot to see that piece of paper.  He hadnt meant to
write it.  Lord only knew why he brought it downstairs with him in the first place but the fact of the matter was that he had brought it down with him.  She did read it.  And they both would have to deal with the consequences.  Whether the outcome would be good or badwell, that was still a mystery.
