| I spent most of this week buzzing around Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Pez Maya saying goodbye to people following the ending of the diving expedition. One thing that I will certainly not miss is the horrendously potholed road between Tulum and Pez Maya! The highlight of the week was a couple of dives that I did at Cozumel, which is a small island just off the coast by Playa del Carmen. The diving there is reputed to be world class and it is easy to see why. Massive corals and sponges abound, and the marine life is awesome. I saw turtles, stingrays and had a large eagle ray swim right up to me. As is always the way, this happened when I didn't have a camera with me. Typical. |
