X Men

A superhero film that had potential on paper and has finished off proving that potential.

Mutants are beginning to appear everywhere around the world, they all look like us the ONLY difference is the fact that some can bring spikes out of their hands and others can shoot beams from their eyes. Professer Xavier (Patrick Stewart) has set up a school for gifted youngsters in other words mutants, that is where the XMen are born, Xavier's former freind and colleauge Magneto (Ian Mckellen)  hates the human race, and he wants war! while the good Mutants try and keep the peace. The movie revolves around Wolverine mainly as he has a really mysterious past, and all isn't even revealed at the movies climax, meaning some possible sequels. Problems lie in the selected cast as most of them don't look like who they are supposed to be, the best of the bunch have to be Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Storm (Halle Berry), Cyclops (James Marsden) and finally Patrick Stewart is perfectly casted as the mind reading professor, and Magneto looks ridicoulous in his costume, the creators should have took more care in bringing the costumes from comic book to reality, but otherwise the rest of the costumes don't make the characters look like a walking pantomine, overall the movie has a good feel, rent it, see what you think! ***
