| This Is Football 2002 Twenty-two highly paid men running around a field with thousands of fans watching while they try and slot the ball into a net yes this is football, but is team Sohos new game anything like football and more importantly is it any good? Well TIF2002 certainly has a generous amount of teams with sqauds from all over the world included and within some of these squads are some incredible player likenesses. Some players look identical to their real life counter parts and I don't just mean their hairstyles and skincolor, oh no everything from their facial features to their shapes have been wonderfully recreated on TIF2002. The atmosphere is also close to the real thing with the crowd chanting various songs and reacting in a real life way, roaring as their team find the back of the net or holding their heads in their hands as the ball sails over the bar, confetti also often rains down on the pitch and the commentry is done by Peter Dury, like most footie games this isn't very good but it does do its job. The gameplay is an excellent recreation of the real thing and it actually resembles the beautiful game with well animated players populating the pitch but the AI could do with a bit of work as the players who are offside don't run back on as often as I would like them to. This is football? yes its football alright and also not a half bad kickabout but not quite upto the standard of ISS, because it just isn't quite as good as Konamis mighty game, but TIF2001 is fine until the next installment of ISS arrives on the scene but when that day comes TIF2002 is history.
