| Sky Odyssey The PS2 doesn't have that many original titles to speak of so when a game by the name of Sky Odyssey arrived I couldn't wait to play it and so I played it and all these words come directly from my mind and should tell you exactly what I thought. Sky Odyssey is a rather interesting flight sim where you don't shoot anything, yeah you read that right thats correct you don't shoot anything instead you are required to complete diverse missions in diverse weather and yes diverse enviroments. Theres nothing quite like the feeling of flying dangerously low through caverns or dangerously close to mountains, never before has there been such an excellent variety of challenging objectives. Try refueling on a moving train for example while attached to a pipe requiring you to battle with your throttle increasing and decreasing power and thats just the second mission of nineteen and when you play it, it makes you wonder what other hazadours tasks await you on your journey to find the pieces of the lost map, every type of weather imaginble awaits you along with some of the most daring missions you have ever encounterd on a flight sim. When I first viewed Sky odyssey I wasn't too impressed with the visuals but going deeper in the game reveals some beatiful weather effects which even rival the pouring rain on the demo of MGS2. But these weather conditions aren't only here to look pretty they are also there to test your flight skills, try flying through thunderstorms while being careful not to be struck by lighting or even a raging snowstorm these effects will certainly amaze and test you at the same time. I'll go into a little more detail into the missions now just to give you more of an idea of what to expect. falling rocks, towers and harsh weather conditions all make up the challenge and completion of some of the more dangerous missions should soak your face in sweat. Sky odyssey may move at a slow rate but the music, weather conditions and various obastcles makes sure it doesn't lack in excitement! I couldn't find much wrong with sky odyssey apart from maybe the odd bad mission and the slight bit of slowdown which only really happens when your plane blows up not to forget the bad draw distance. But apart from those three things, Sky odyssey is great and is one of the best PS2 games yet! Who needs machine guns on their plane?
