Tanner, when out and about, looks exactly as detailed as the other people, if not more so.  He runs smoothly and even has a shadow that follows his every move.  In two player the camera is fixed in the first person mode and Tanner cant get out of his car, but the city and the other players car remain as detailed as in the single player game.  The only niggle I have with the games graphics is that the frame rate sometimes drops drastically and the game even froze for a second or two a couple of times.  This is not too big a problem and is due to the fact that the PSX is nearing the end of its life and cant run the kind of games we crave nowadays.

The classic Driver formula, once again, remains the same but with a few improvements.  The cars handle a little more realistically than before, you have to use the breaks some times!  The ease of handbrake turns and skids remains the same and Driver fans will soon come around to the alterations as they enhance the realism no end.  There a multitude of cars for Tanner to flinch and each one handles uniquely.  They range from a mini, which is small and nippy to be used in narrow back roads, to a 20-foot fire truck, which is ideal for smashing through roadblocks.  Tanner can get out of his vehicle as long as he is not being chased by cops and get up to whatever mischief he fancies.  He runs as fast as a turtle and looks as if he hasnt gone to the toilet for a week but it is adequate, but be warned, he is very sensitive to turns with the analogue sticks.  He can sit on objects and watch the world go by, activate switches/open doors and steal other cars.  This is ideal when the felony gauge is full, because once Tanner has left his car his felony goes down to nothing.  To complete some missions Tanner has to get out of his car and activate switches to open garage doors and what not.  The missions have also been given a facelift, being more varied and unique than before, if you liked the mission where you had to scare the passenger in Driver then youre going to love this game.  The missions require you to smash cars, steal cars, drive a getaway car, chase a train, beat it to the car on the tracks and get the car out of the way.  These are a few of the things you will be attempting to complete the game.  There may be no driving test to infuriate you but the missions are a lot harder and frustrating than in Driver.  In one particularly hard mission you have to get in a car, chase another car half way across the map, trash the aforementioned car, get out of your own car and check the wrecked car and find a new car... four times in six minutes!  Driver 2 makes up for these missions with truly inspired objectives in others, like the mission where you have to rescue Jericho or save the car from the train, these missions will make you love this game forever.  The game is quite long, that is it will take you a long time to finish it and once you have there are still the games to play.  Most of the games intale knocking down cones in a time limit or staying in between cones but the best by far is survival.  It is truly mad and one hell of a laugh.  You start off in a regular car with five suicidal cops in souped up, beasts of cars chasing you.  The objective; stay alive as long as possible, which is no easy task.
The first couple of times you attempt it youll only last about 20 secs but it is possible to last over four minutes, my record is 4:35 but I have not really been playing it too much and Im sure it is not that great.

Driver 2s sound is OK but nothing special, the usual mix.  The music is peaceful and slow when youre cruising around and when you get into a chase it changes to fast, exciting stuff.  And thats it all the music in the entire game, good stuff but not much of it.
