Opinions Round-Up:

"Whoa, what can I say about this game? Boooring, one word actually: unoriginal! Sure it may be bigger, it's got better balls to play with, but where's the beef? You can hardly enjoy the game as the levels and that stupid Crunch character you have to beat up everytime are really frustrating, I thought this was aimed at a younger audience? Traveller's Tales have succesfully generated a copy of the previous Crash: it was fun to play, loads to do, many things to discover,... So the good folks at T-Tales decided to go with that same formula, thus deleting any possible fun in the game. The graphics are hardly a match for other PS2 games, but the really annoying thing is the loading time. You can play The Bouncer and Onimusha twice, and still the game would be loading. I suggest you get a magazine and set yourselves on the loo while the game is doing its business.
Everybody knows the Crash-concept is outdated, even Naughty Dog, so why bother to try and create ANOTHER Bandicoot bondage? I mean, little kids have died playing this game, well it's not that bad,  but have I talked about the loading times yet? You're bound to spend more time looking at a falling Crash than roaming through the levels... Oh, have I talked about the loading times yet..."

"Naughty Dog were sensible to move onto better things with Jak and Daxter leaving the ageing bandicoot behind, you see next to the fresh faced J&D CB:TWOC is a complete joke (but still fun at times), the problem with it is the similarities with all the other games of the series it has never changed at all even with a new company developing it and after all those years its starting to feel old. The only thing that makes it feel like a new game is its stunning graphical effects (fire, smoke ect) and even those are nothing compared to the stunning looking J&D. I say let Crash die a peaceful death"

With a new company at the reins, you expect some difference in the way the game plays, but no Traveller's Tales have opted for a popular (Psone) style, which was great back then, but come on it's getting a bit old now, if crash stands a chance against new boys such as Jak & Daxter then he needs to star in a new game, preferably with full expansive 3D environments, and a lack of apples, yes even they are getting tired now!!
