Cast Away
Tom Hanks is one of the world's finest actors, he is so versatile, and can play many many roles, from a serious prison warden, to a comedy role, the right person to play Cast Away's demanding role!

Chuck Noland (Hanks) is the supervisor of the FedEX package delivery service, he is obsessed with his job, and fiery with his staff, he wants nothing less then a perfect service. On Christmas Eve he sets off on a plane to escort some packages, but the plane gets into trouble in the sky, crashing in to the ocean and leaving everybody but Hanks dead!

After surviving a horrendous storm in the ocean in his rubber boat, he finally finds land, and that island is where Hanks character remains for the entire film, until the last half an hour or so, here he has to contend with toothache, loneliness and hunger, and Hanks has amazingly worked all these things in to the movie, the director (Robert Zemeckis) must also take credit for this, as it is another partnership between the actor and the director, as he also directed the fantastic Forest Gump!

A great movie, of a humans strengths and weaknesses, almost every emotion is bought to the front, anger, sadness, frustration happiness and love, Cast Away is a classic movie, that once seen, is hard to forget ****
