| Enough chit-chat, i'll stop talking about everything, but Crash Bandicoot. So, I've said that gameplay is great (for a platformer), the plot needs some working , so what about graphics and sound?? Graphics are great. No real glitches detected while playing and the level-design looks very sturdy. Crash definitely looks like a stupid marsupial and Coco like a hot babe. The surroundings are great, butterfies fly around, you can see where the levels end, so you won't be jumping up an invisible wall. Everything seems like it's been done over several times to make it look like perfection. Graphics may look a bit childish because it's very bright, with lively colours. But this doesn't mean the game is intended for kids. So, don't be fooled by it's appearence, gameplay makes up for everything. In the sound-department, nothing's wrong. Every levels sounds almost the same, but this isn't bad. The music looks like it's been taken from Waner Bros. classics (think of the opening tune from Road-Runner). They may seem the same, but there's a little difference in all of them. Tunes like meep-meep, you won't hear, but the little twitches in the levels' sound, makes sure you won't get bored. In a summary: Crash Bandicoot is a game that takes all the rules of a platform-game and does its own thing with it. Bart Van Gas 8.4 Great platformer which entertains you all the way Opinions Round-Up "Crash Bandicoot was the first game I ever played on Psone, so it will always have a special place in my heart. This marsupial is no doubt the unofficial mascotte of Playstation and the fact that it may end up in the kiddy-ware isn't gonna do any bad. And although smashing crates and collecting apples may sound dull, there's a suspicious aura surrounding this game, a karma that creates "challenge"; and that's something you don't find very often in a 3D platformer. Keep your fingers crossed for a sequel!" Rikki Van Gas |
