I am working as a Full
Time Telecom Engineer in United Telecom Limited. United Telecom
Limited is a first privet Telecom service provider in Nepal.
It's project is based on
WLL-CDMA2000 1x mobile
technology, ideally
suited for hilly regions of Nepal as well as congested cities
like Kathmandu where it is extremely
difficult to lay the cables. System is designed by LG company of Korea. Responsible towards the following task: -
Operation and
Maintenece of DMC stratex Altium and Xp4 Microwave Radio network
for E1, E3 & STM1 link, generating regular
network performance report
and handling error of NMS -
Operation and
Maintenece of Base
station and Base station controller. -
Proactive and routine maintenance
of ATM switch, STM link and signaling link in Mobile Base station and Base
Station controller. Monitoring Network health through BSM based on Unix
SUN Solaris. -
Interface with network planning team to
provide critical inputs in terms of network usage, and growth in
traffic in Base station and Base station controller. -
Testing all systems/ application
components to minimize customer complaints from different kind
of costomer related product. |

I have worked as a Full Time Network Engineer in Space
Time Network. Space Time Network is
country’s larest cable TV provider, retransmitting 80
different channels. After experimenting with two in-house
chanels, a Nepal’s first satellite channel called Channel
Nepal has been broadcasting via Thaicom 3 satellite. Responsible
towards the following task: (1).
TV Uplink Earth Station Operation and Maintenance -
Operation & Maintenance of TV Uplink Earth Station for the
channel called “Channel
Nepal” broadcasting via Thiacom 3 satellite. (2).
HFC Network Operation and Maintenance -
Operation &
Maintenance of various RF equipments for transmission of
TV signals on various Frequency band including
VHF, and UHF band. -
Maintaining RF parameter such as signal
level, C/N ratio etc using Spectrum
Analyzer, DB power meter, signal generator. -
Fiber Optic cabling, splicing
(fusion splicing and mechanical splicing).

Preparing a link
budgets for efficient Fiber Optic network.

Planning of fiber cable with it's respective color
code for each node station.

Peparing equipment like Patch Panel, Wall & Pole
mountable joint boxes. - Fiber optic cable testing using test equipment like OTDR, Power meter. |
