Frequently Asked Questions
Please Note: All the downloads on this site are zip files.
How do I download?
First of all, find the wall/floor or set you wish to download. To download a wall and floor 'set' you need to left click  on the floor tile. A window will appear asking you what you want to do with the file, click save or save this file to disk. Depending on how you organise your files, find the location where you want it to go. Then click save. To download a single wall or a single floor tile, left click on the picture and follow the same process to save.
How do I put the downloads into my game?
First of all, you need WinZip, you can download a trial version here
There are two ways to place the files in your game. The easiest way for beginners is as follows.

Double click on the file you downloaded and open it with WinZip. Select the file/s you want, walls and floors go separately so don't select both. Once you have a file selected, click on extract, the walls need to be extracted to

C:Program Files>Maxis>The Sims>Gamedata>Walls

and the floors need to be extracted to

C:Program Files>Maxis>The Sims>Gamedata>Floors

Thats all you need to do.

The second way is to, right click on your file, click WinZip>Extract to, and extract it to the appropriate Folder as above.

Where will I find the files in my game?
The walls and floors can be located in the build mode of the game.
What should I do with the Zip file after I have extracted the walls/floors?
You have the option to delete them if you wish.

However please ensure you read a copy of the Simmimz Read-me File which is included in each Zip file.

The best thing to do and I think most people do it, is to have a folder somewhere, with each website name in sub catagories, then save your zips to the appropriate folder. This way you will know what came from where and you wont have any difficulty in locating a faulty file.
