The Fine Art
of
Simmering Thought

Rarely is it true that "ignorance is bliss".
Most times ignorance is not bliss,
and sometimes ignorance can be the deciding factor
in matters as serious as life and death.
My preference is the neverending pursuit of knowledge and truth.

In searching for the answers to the more important questions in life,
our minds work in countless, harmonious ways
hopefully guiding us to the conclusions we seek,
including those which reveal there may, in fact, be no answer.
Occasionally the answers come swiftly,
but more often, when the questions are weighty or elusive,
our minds need time to think them through.
When life affords us that precious time,
it is what I refer to as "the fine art of simmering thought".

To reach one of these enlightening moments of revelation,
perhaps the neuro-transmitters sparked in that very instant,
or a random thought or found piece of information
was needed to reach a conclusion.
Sometimes the pieces may have just needed to be rearranged
or maybe the question simply needed time to gestate.
In all cases, the questions needed to simmer...stew...and meld
into a fine broth.

For as long as there is a universe filled with unanswered questions
I will thank God for the miracle of the human mind
and continue practicing "the fine art of simmering thought".

Welcome! This is the first time I've attempted to do anything with a website, simply because I wanted to make some info available on the web as quickly and simply as possible. Someday I may get into this further, but for now, please excuse the crudity.
