SIMMAM, the company was started in the year 1985. We started as and advertising and consultants firm. Initially we were doing advertising works through print media. Later we crept into the production of Television serials, documentaries, ad films etc., Headed by SIMMAM RAGHU, who has a flair knowledge in writing varieties of scripts, constructing a neat screenplay , our company proposed good number of proposals to Doordarshan. Our maiden venture started during the year 1988 with the production of SIX episodes tele-serial entitled MAPPILLAI HOUSE-FULL. Then we had the privilege of producing a current Affairs programme on Doordrashan’s National Channel during 1990.

The year 1992 promoted SIMMAM RAGHU to the post of Director, who started directing our projects. A few film based quickies, a 13 episode serial entitled MID-NIGHT MURDER for our sister company Aishwarya Productions, our present project entitled SALANGAI for Aishwarya Productions all made us to grow slowly but steadily.

SIMMAM RAGHU as writer has contributed a good number of scripts to our company. To name a few are: his successful and powerful dialogues for our tele-serial MID-NIGHT MURDER, the story, screenplays and dialogues for our current project SALANGAI, our proposals entitled FIFTY YEARS OF REPUBLIC, BHARAT RATNA AWARDEES, PRESIDENTS OF INDIA, INDIAN PARLIAMENT - YESTERDAY/ TODAY/ TOMORROW, THE BODY & THE SOUL, TEMPLES & SCIENCE, VEDHA etc.,

We are sure that our humble and sincere hard work would take us to great heights.

Mappillai House-full

Dowry is an evil practice prevalent in India. It is a curse for the young women who await to enter into marriage life. An emotional melodrama has been told with humor in six episodes in this serial.

Mid-Night Murder

Police force is not only to book the culprits. It has the moral responsibility to save the innocents. How the person implicated in a murder case by virtue of his innocence is saved by the moral conscious police officer forms part of the story. An case of emotion versus law is depicted in 13 episodes.

Water Problem In South

Water is essential for life on Earth. But its availability is not uniform on all the places. When the neighboring Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala are blessed with abundant water source, Tamilnadu , is deprived of this essential resource. Problems and solutions form part here

In commemoration of Fifty Years of Independence, Doordarshan commissioned half-an-hour programmes. Simmam produced the above documentay highlighting the Electoral process in India roght from the root i.e., elections to Rural and Urban area.

Thiraikku-p-pinnal

During the year 1992, on the eve of Deepavali, we produced this quickie based on Tamil cinema personalities.. We wanted to tell the audience the inputs that are required to make a successful cinema.

Comedy Track

This programme was aired on the Pongal day during 1995. Comedy not only entertains but also heals the disease of the body. And a good comedy track in the Cinema makes it successful.

Sai Amma

God is pleased if his true devotees are also worshipped. And a true devotee forms as a bridge between the God and the ordinary man. This programme highlights the true devotion of one such devotee.

Yuva Bharatham

Yuva in Tamil means youth. Synchronizing with the Tamil year Yuva, this quickie was written and directed with informations and interviews from the youth of yesteryears and the youth of the present day.

We are confident that our projects viz., The Body & the Soul, Vedha and Temples and Science do have International interest. As our resources are limited and our Indian Channels are full with other entertainment soaps etc., we welcome interested persons to join with us as co-producers. The persons, we expect should respect our creative ideas, generous minded. We would also invite persons who would be having influence with International Channels in arranging telecast of the programmes.

We also look forward interested International Channels to fund and acquire our projects and we vouch for a good entertainer and educational values.

Salangai

A tale of a Bharathanatyam dancer. How her wishes to dedicate her life to this great art is spoiled by womanizer forms part of the story. Being narrated in 52 episodes, this is our current project on hand.

The Body & The Soul

A philosophy - oriented subject, it answers to a million dollar question of what is death. Is death is for the body or for the soul. Various explanations are given in Bhagavad Gita, Katopanishad, Nayyayikas etc., An eye-opener about the human life, we are confident this would reach the audience.

Vedha

Speaks about the Joint Family system which founded in India. There was no egoism among the members of the family, and elders were there to guide the youngsters in a proper way. The joint family system educated the give and take policy, respect to elders and above all it made people to understand their family prestige.

Temples & Science

Indian temples were built not only as a worshipping place. It conveyed more message to the mankind. The temples stood as a place where medical solutions were available. “Thy shall not live where temple does not exist” goes the proverb. True, temple conveys more meaning which is being described in this programme.
