This is Methos as Doctor Benjamin Adams, first seen on "The Modern Prometheus". He made another appearance in a later episode (Indiscretions), but we first see him as a friend of Lord Byron, who (incredibly) is Immortal. I loved that Mary Shelley got her idea for Frankenstein from a Q, but really, can there be a less likely Immortal than Byron? Doc, as Byron calls Ben Adams, is present on that fateful weekend, when the members of the party were to write a horror story. Some say Byron thought up a vampire story that weekend, well in advance of Bram Stoker, and his was the sexy one! There was a doctor present that weekend, but he was not Methos. Not by a long shot. Although Doc is a pacifist, he does not seem to be a prude. He not only permits his friend (and student?) to carry on, he seems willing to participate in the lifestyle. At the same time, he is curious about mortality, and seems to be a "mad scientist" in his cutting up cadavers. "There are some questions only the dead can answer!"
