            Mattupuram is a small village in Kerala. It is located near the N.Paravoor town about 19 Km from Aluvae in Ernakulam district. On one side of it is the Periyaar river. From Mattupuram we can view the joining of Periyaar and Chalakudiyaar near Elanthikara (you can see it in the photo gallery). Now by the inauguration of Manjali over bridge Mattupuram get a little more importance. As there is a plan to make a link road between NH 47 and NH 17.

When talking about Mattupuram the different firms in Mattupuram are Manjali Service Corporative Society, Milma' Diary, Crescent Public School, H.D.P.Y public school and the new B.Ed College

        There is bus services from N.Paravoor one from Ernakulam too.

        The main occupation of the people here is farming. The main cultivation are plantain and spinach
