Sim returned from a very dissapointing Tour of Shenandoah.  A mechanical mishap in the TT cost him dear, and a crash in the Stage 2 crit was him out of the race before the real stage even started.

At that point Sim took over as Directeur Sportif for the Trek VW Composite Team, and enjoyed helping Jeremiah Bishop ride to a top 4 on GC.

NEWS:
Promising young American rider John Parks (Silver medallist at the recent Virginia State Road Championships) will be spending the end of season at the Evolution Cycling Center.  Parks will most likely race under the Limoux Credit Agricole jersey along with Sim Green and some other French riders.

The race schedule will be heavy.  "Parksy" arrives on Monday the 29th September, and racing will begin in earnest with a Time Trial in the Vendee area of northern France on September 3rd.  From here the team will spend the night in northern France before attacking a 1 day stage race on Sunday 4th with a Time Trial in the morning and a 120km point to point road race in the afternoon.  The stage race takes place near Cholet, home of the famous Coupe de France round "Cholet Pays de la Loire".

The American-British duo will then do a few smaller local races before heading to the next big race on the French calendar.  Abos Iraty is a 120km point to point road race in the Pyrenean mountians.  This Elite one day race has a mountain top finish and will be a very tough race.

John Parks hope to gain European experience during his time in the European peleton.  If all goes well Parksy has the ability to pull off a good result or two as well.  This will be a great learning opportunity for John Parks as he will find himslef in point to point races with a race caravan for the first time.

Follow Parksy's European Campaign as he rubs elbows with the pros and some of the world's best amateurs here...
Back to the roots...

Sim had a great time working with bikestyletour.com and is now back home where he is spending his time training and racing his mountain bike.  Sim has returned to his roots and pulled ou the old MTB for a bit of fun and some rather hard racing, but with some promising results.

Parks and Green in green.

J. Parks had better like the colour green.  Not only will he have to put up with Sim Green for 2 months, he may also find himself wearing lots of green.
