Balloon bursting

  1. One balloon is set up on a correx stand thus.

2. Each pilot is allowed 40 passes at the balloon.

  3. 1 point is scored for a burst  1/2 point is scored for a hit on the balloon that does not ground it.

  4. If the balloon is burst or knocked over it is replaced.

  5. More than one pilot can do this at once but each should have a counter to make a note of the score and number of attempts.

Obstacle course

1.The winner of the obstacle course is the shortest time taken from take off to landing incorporating the following manoeuvres.

  a Take off.

 b. Drop a bomb in the cordoned off area (1 hit of 4 practice golf balls).

 c. Perform a touch and go in the taped off area.

 d. 1 roll.

 e. 1 pass through the limbo.

 f. 1 loop.

 g. Land.

  h. Parts b to e inclusive can be performed in any order.

  2. The pilot must be in the designated pilot box for the take off and landing but may move around to anywhere to complete the manoeuvres in-between. Should the plane go dead stick and the course is completed the pilot may land the plane and then has to return to the pilot box before the clock is stopped.

  3. Three attempts may be made to complete the obstacle course. An engine failure does not count as an attempt. If more than one attempt is successfully completed the best time may be scored.

  4. The course layout is thus:

Bombing

1.The range will be set up thus.

  2. Flag 1 is set at the middle of concentric circles 20' apart the flags are an indicator along 1 radii.

  3. Each pilot is allowed three rounds dropping 4 practice golf balls per round see ball droper design page.

  4. For each ball the distance from flag 1 in feet rounded down is subtracted from 160 if the distance from flag 1 is greater than 160 the score for that ball is zero.

  5. The highest score wins a perfect score is 1920 points.

Radio control parachuting

1. A controllable parachute is dropped from standard circuit height when the parachute pilot requests it.

  2. The target is set up thus.

  1. Scores

  5 points inner Square.

  3 points middle square.

  1 point outer square.

  0 points miss.

  4. Three attempts each are allowed and points accumulated.

5.If a parachute malfunction occurs another go is allowed.
