ViaGhiglieri, Toluca, formerly of Lacon, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 1999, at the ASTA Care Center of Toluca. Born Dec. 2, 1909, in Wilburn to Sim and Emma Carter Carmichael, she married James Willard Hardmeier on July 8, 1930, in Lacon. He died Jan. 24, 1949. Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Marilou Dawson of Lacon; one son, James of Lacon; one sister, Stella Ralston of Wenona; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She worked at Loy's Variety Store in Lacon for 37 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Lowpoint. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Aimone-Froelich Memorial Home in Toluca. The Rev. Robert DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Lacon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lacon-Sparland Rescue 52. |
