Deut 5:11 "You do not bring the Name of Yud Hey Waw Hey your Elohim to naught, for Yud Heh Waw Hey does not leave him unpunished who bring His Name to naught.

What's in a name
What does it mean to take a name in vain or make it come to naught?  It means to make it meaningless or worthless.  A name is much more than just a sound that comes out of our mouths.  It is a description of character.  Of who or what something is and does.  To make the Name of the Most High come to nothing is much more than never saying it.  It can also be proclaiming it while living a lifestyle that degrades His Name to others.

Some take the seriousness of keeping The Name set apart so to heart, they never say it but instead use euphamisim such as HaShem (The Name) or Adonai (Lord).  I feel their desire to set The Name apart is worthwhile and respect them for following how they are being led at this time.

It is never right to exchange The Name with another diety's name such as with Gad (god) or The Lord (baal)  Most do so just out of ignorance and who can fault them for these things but as we know better we should do better.

The four letter name of the Most High, spelled in Hebrew is Yud Hey Waw Hey (YHWH). The Waw is better known as the Vav in today's Hebrew but in ancient times it was Waw, pronounced U or W.  The 4 letter name is  derived from the word Hayah (Hey Yud  Hey) See Exodus 3:14, which means To Exist.  By His Name He is proclaiming He IS.  It is simple but profound!

Has the Name been lost?
Many say the pronunciation of the Name has been lost of the ages.  With all the verses speaking of proclaiming His Name to the Nations and being saved only by calling on the name (Yud Hey Waw Hey) can we really believe it has been lost?  I don't.

It has been hidden safe and sound in and on one tribe of his people right in plain sight.  The very same tribe His very own Son comes from.

That tribe is Judah.

Judah in Hebrew is spelled Yud Hey Waw Dalet Hey and pronounced Yahudah.  Do you see it yet?
Yud Hey Waw Hey (YHWH)
Yud Hey Waw Dalet Hey (YHWDH)
YaHUdaH
YAHUAH
The letter Dalet in Hebrew means door and is the 5th letter added to the 4 letter Name to make the name Yahudah.  Yahushua is The Door from the Tribe of YAHUDAH which leads us to YAHUAH.  The Dalet (door) from the tribe of Yahudah proclaiming the name of the Most High... YAHUAH.
