I've heard that there is a Loch Ness Monster in The sims.. is that true?
Yep.. I think it came with Unleashed, but sometimes while in the neighbourhood screen or the Downtown screen (Not sure about Vacation Island), you might be lucky enough to see them.  If you haven't seen them - here's a peek:

The Skin of you on the main page... can I have it?
Yep, find it here - I am wearing a pentacle though, so if that offends you, don't download the skin.

What about the old one?
I actually edited that pic.... So she really doesn't exist.
The head is "Angie" which comes with the "Real Curl" download from www.simfreaks.com (Although I think the new one is slightly different - or perhaps it's my imagination), but the hair wasn't long enough so I made it longer on the picture.  The rest was pieced together using the same outfit on 3 different meshes.

Why don't you update more often?
I am not a machine!  I work, have other hobbies other than the Sims *gasp*.. and I like to occasionally actually get to play the game! and spend time with my partner.... 
I have no idea how long it takes other people to make their objects/skins, but it takes an average of about 2 hours for me to make a skin... (Obviously some skins are easier and quicker, but some are more involved and longer)... some recolours are easy (they can take only a few minutes to do), but some are more involved and editing something (like the tiled showers in the sand set) might take around 2 -3 hours to complete too.  Then there is checking it in the game, zipping it, updating the website and uploading to do.  It all takes time.  I don't know where larger sites find the time to have lots of downloads, I am extremely impressed!

The writing on your site is too small...
I actually haven't had this comment on this site, but I have had it on other sites I have done... 
I design my webpages how I like them (you can't please everyone), and yes, I have perfect vision...  I use smeller fonts so my pages are more compact (because I like them that way) 

I use 8 point font (this size) for stuff that isn't really important, and the rest is 10 point (this size).. if it's a problem to you, you can change the settings on your browser to display larger fonts.... depending on the browser you use, go to "view" and you should find your settings there.  (for Internet Explorer go to "view" then "font size" then select the size.  For Netscape, go to "View" then "increase font" until you like the size.  - Other browsers, you are on your own, but it should be similar).

There are broken links, they go nowhere...
Link going to a "404" or "We can't find you page" type page? I possibly had a typo or something..... please let me know and I'll fix it.

Sometimes you'll find a broken link somewhere  because I saved the webpage into a different directory, and it then changed where my links point to, and I forgot to change it.  Everyone makes mistakes every now and then, so gimme a break!  If you are Computer Savvy, look at the link properties, and remove the irrelevant sub directories, that should do it.  But let me know, and I'll fix it.

For some strange reason some of my pages have been loading, but there is nothing but a white screen.  I haven't a clue why this happens, but when it does I need to re-upload the page, so if you find one, let me know and I'll upload it again for you.

I tried to e-mail you, but it's coming back as undeliverable....
Dot.tk  are apparently having problems with the e-mail forwarding, so if any mail you send to [email protected]  or [email protected] are being returned, try e-mailing me at [email protected] instead.  I can no longer send out e-mail using the .tk e-mail address, but I seem to be recieving them ok (at the moment).

I tried to e-mail you, but you never replied....
I am usually pretty good with replying to e-mails, but if you sent an e-mail and never got a reply, it might be that I didn't get it.  Also give me time, I am quite likely in a different time zone to you (I am in Australia), and I change between going online during the day or late night/early morning.. I also sometimes get too busy to reply during the following few days (I average about 2000 e-mails a day)... so give me time to catch up.  If it's been more than a week, e-mail me back, because I may not have gotten your e-mail.

Can you make a skin for me?
Maybe... it depends on what it is.... I am really not that good at making skins, (but I am getting better) so I might not be able to do what you want, and I might not have time to make what you want, but I don't mind if you request something, as long as you don't mind if I say no.

Can you change one of your skins for me?
Probably....again, it depends on what you want... if it's a minor change, then yeah, I can probably do it.

Can I use your skins/objects/tutorials etc. on my site?
Probably....but you have to ask first.. and you have to agree to my conditions (like giving me credit and a link back to my site) They are copyrighted by me (unless otherwise stated).. so taking them without asking is stealing, and that's something that I REALLY dislike....

While some of the things on the site aren't copyrighted like the information I give or lists of links ect.... my wording is.... Recently I had someone copy my entire links page and paste it into a message forum.  They told me they did this after they did it, and didn't ask first.  Now this is a breech of my copyright, because they used my comments in with the links.  Had I been asked, I'd have been happy for it to be used, with my comments included.... but not asking is downright rude and also breaking copyright...

So you can't recolour my edited/original items (anything I recolour is from Maxis [unless otherwise stated] so you can recolour them), or offer any of my stuff (skins, objects, paintings, tutorials, images etc) for download on your own site or put it on a CD or your site or message board etc.... 

Basically, you are not allowed to use anything you get on this site for any other use other than putting them in your own game - unless you ask (and get) my permission first.

That includes putting a pic of my objects on your site and linking them to my objects on my site - that's bandwidth theft, and something Sim Sites DO NOT appreciate!

You can of course link to any of my pages, but DO NOT link directly to my objects.

Your objects don't work...
If you have a problem with any of my objects, let me know (nicely).. so I can fix them.

Some problems you might encounter:

Objects not showing up in the game, or showing up with a question mark instead of a picture, and not showing up in T-Mog.
I had some weird problem where some of my objects stopped working... they were working fine when I tested them, but for some reason they stopped working (T-Mog crashed and I think that somehow broke them, but I didn't realise until after I zipped them and uploaded them)... so I re-did most of them, and tested them again... then uploaded them.  I should have fixed them all, but if I haven't - let me know.

Objects disappearing in live mode, objects crashing when you select then in buy mode or in live mode.
Most likely means that the object is for an Expansion pack you don't have.  Most of my objects are made on a computer than has up to House Party installed.  They shouldn't cause any problems, but anything for unleashed is made on my other computer than has Hot date installed, so they might cause problems for you if you don't have Hot date.  I should have everything marked for the expansion pack it needs (if it needs one), but I may have missed something and not said what expansion pack it requires.

Object zips not downloading or opening up empty.
I have no idea what causes this, I often download stuff from other sites that are empty or won't open/download and when I try again later, they work fine.  I've e-mailed other site owners and they assured me the zip was fine, even though for me it wasn't....  So I have no idea what causes the problem.  In most cases I've double checked the zip and it was fine on my computer.  So try downloading it again, and if it still doesn't work, let me know and I'll try re-uploading it (which usually works).

Your Skins don't work...
Skins have to be saved in 256 colours, but when you make them, you do it in 16 million colours, then you are meant to reduce the colour depth.... occasionally I might forget to do this... This usually results in the skin showing up as white.  To fix that, it's simply a case of opening the image (.bmp) file in a paint program (such as Paint Shop Pro) and save it to a 256 colour (8bit) image.  If you get an option of how to do it, select "Optimised Octree" (or at least that's what they call it in Paint Shop Pro), that way you'll keep the same basic look of your skin. 

If you do find a skin that isn't 256 colours, please let me know so I can fix it so others don't download it - and once i've fixed it, you can download the fixed one rather than fixing it yourself.  Running file cop will usually find these. 

If that's not the problem - and they just aren't showing up in the game... check you have the right mesh for the skin... the mesh is the body it displays on (made up of a .skn file and a .cmx file).. you need those to be able to see your skin.  I normally have the mesh for download under the skin, or it's a default mesh that should be in your game (so you shouldn't need to download a new one).

Also, some of my skins aren't in all skin tones or all body sizes, so make sure you are trying to find the right skin.

Where can I find <something>...
I get asked a lot where to find different objects and things... sometimes I might know, sometimes I just search through google (www.google.com) and see what they brings up... so you can ask, but try searching for it yourself first :)
