 It's
goodbye from him, and its goodbye from me. Sim Gallery is currently no longer being updated and is un-officially closed. With the many great sims around now it has been increasingly difficult to keep up with everything. Plans are in the pipe for a 'best of' for sometime in the future so if Geocities don't close us down.. well here's hoping they don't. I would like to thank the many many contributors and I have had great pleasure in showing your work. In closing I would like to say a special thanks to two great guys that encouraged me to keep at this fun and sometimes frustrating hobby.. Tim Kellebrew and Jan Kohl from the US Pits. The
gallery has been exhibiting fine works of sim art featuring masterpieces by sim artists
from all turns of the globe. From Sweden to Brazil, from
England to New Zealand. Apart from our regular
exhibitions of screen shots from the Papyrus sims, we
have enjoyed sharing features on those 'out-sider' sims..
Toca Touring Cars, F1RS, CPR, Power F1 and even Al Unser
Jr.. We have presented special features from many of the
internet racing leagues and have been sponsors to several
major offline races over the year. We are proud of the
awards we have received and without our Sim Gallery
supporters, contributors and visitors.. the doors would
have closed years ago. We thank you all for the
encouragement and for being loyal fans. We hope we can
bring you just as much quality art and enjoyment sometime in the future. Thanks.. Dave 'the
Curator'

Things are heating up for the Bull Run 1000.
Race teams have been finalised and the freshly livered
TPTCC touring cars are taking to the track for qualifing.
This is the second year for the great race and many of
the teams and drivers have returned to endure the
tortures of this grueling track. The teams have been fine
tuning their set-ups and rehearsing their driver changes,
this is not just a test of driving skills but also a test
of computing skills. ICQ has been running hot with
discussion on tyre pressures, spring rates and gear
ratios. The Bull Run 1000 is *the* offline simulation
racing event of the year. LATE BRAKING NEWS... The
Pits Performance 2 team of Goy Larsen and Gilles Beniot
win the 1998 Bull Run 1000. Read all about it in the next
Sim Gallery update.

Writer,
racer and good friend of Sim Gallery.. Tim Kellebrew
releases book. With many years of both on and offline sim
racing experience (and picking up the odd championship
along the way), Tim has penned this very handy book on
internet sim racing entitled "The Beginner's Guide
to League Stock Car Sim Racing". The book is
published by Steve Smith Autosports and available through
the SSA web site http://www.ssapubl.com/special.html and will soon be
available on mail order through Stock Car Racing and
Circle Track magazines. This book will be a great help to
anyone wishing to become a top notch sim racer and Moms..
this would be a terrific extra to put under the Xmas tree
with Nascar1999.

The Sim Gallery --All Americian 100-- has been
run and won. The AA100 race is part of the
'United Shorttrack Alliance' series promoted by short
track speedster Jimmy McKinley. The race attracted a
record number of entries with over 60 cars taking to the
Nashville Speedway. Be sure to visit the AA100 special
feature exhibition while you are here.

Aussie
drivers. As you are reading this your comments are
being read by the powers that be at Multiplay. Multiplay
are the Australian licencees of the Total Entertainment
Network (TEN) who, as you probably know, host the online
racing in the US. I was optimisticly hoping we could have
swamped them with names but we did gather a genuine 34
names and more importantly some great comments. Lets just
keep our steering wheels crossed. I will let you all know
what the response is to our petition as soon as I do.
Thanks to you all... Dale Hillan, Anthony Bulloch, Ian Lake,
