My twin sister Carol and I have always loved dogs and animals even as kids.  Mom and Daddy wouldn't allow  us have pets until my mom came home one day with a little black ball of fluff.  That was the beginning of our real love for dogs.  Carol and I also had one horse we shared in high school.

I got married and Carol went to college.  The marriage was a mistake, but the child that came from it was my whole life.

Carrie (my daughter) did 11 years of 4-H with the dogs and I enjoyed being around to enjoy it with her.  Carol came home from college and we all moved in together.

We got our first Aussie in 1980.  He was just a pet but the passion took off from there.  In 1984,  I  (Cheryl) got my first show Aussie   Ch Briarbrook's Grand Illusion (Merlin).  I handled him to all his championship points.  In the ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) You have to have three majors to earn your dog's championship.  He did it all the spring and summer he turned two years old.

We purchased Briarbrook's Maid to Order in 1986.  She was a full sister  to the ASCA National Specialty Best of Breed Winner, Ch. Fieldmaster's Blue Isle Barnstormer.  Merlin and Maizie's sire Ch. Fieldmaster's Three Ring Circus was the leading sire for Aussie champions until his son Barney took over that spot in the early 1990's.

In 1992 I purchased  Ch Fantasia's Lead the Chorus Line (Barbie)  from Ann and David Gibbons.  You can see her page HERE.

Carol and I purchased our first sheltie from Ruthann Smith of Lanlee Shelties in 1984.  She was a Ch Macdega The Piano Man daughter out of one of Ruthann's sheltie girls.

Katie never liked the show ring even though we tried to show her in conformation.   She  did give us two really nice litters of  puppies.

Though we are just a small hobby kennel we have always strived to produce dogs better than those we have.   They must have brains and be able to move, but beauty is always a plus.

These pages are the dogs we currently have with us.  We hope you enjoy your visit.
