Traitorous Peace
Cast me beneath your eyes
And ignore me in heaven's stead
Throw me beneath wheels of ambition
Grinding me to dust within your mind
Find the reasons for your actions
As you by-pass the ends of eternity
Choosing the path to your end
If not in process learned
Then it shall be repeated yet again
So does time turn,
As it spins once more
You weren't the first to do so
Nor hardly the last
Repeating the pattern that binds the lower order
By guide I could show you the way
The path that none can see
What you can't handle,
You won't find
So to you I won't exist
Nothing to hinder,
Or on wings take flight
Drift freely within the dream
Blinding yourself to what's not
No exit will be found
Though in essence it won't matter
You'll find no more than what you've known
