Defensive Breach
The infinite void is shown
as the outer wall falls
a place of emptiness
vast loneliness
pain magnified by scars
the wounds of damage long past
seeking that which will fill it
looking for true friendship
fighting against self chains
copulating with desire
one of the hardest things I've ever done
not seeing myself as a disgrace
part of many things
that make up the catalyst to my pain
with every blow
with every word
the pain begins small and ripples outward
an ocean of sorrow
a sea of tears
they turn their backs
and once again
I am shrouded in darkness
by myself
completely alone
my strength wavers
and I collapse
as the haunting memories flicker on the walls
instilling doubt
showing my fears
reminding me of my pain
my will fades
the nightmares dancing through my head
from above it begins to pour
a shower of black rain
the thick sludge
taking away the mercy of denial
oh the hurt they cause
by their lashing
stricken by greed
they never see
their steps falter
still the darkness
blacks out everything
the pain comes yet in waves
each wave wearing at the shores of my happiness
covering it and sinking it beneath sorrow
until joy is buried
and all that is left
is pain
