Unspeakable Truth
Differences alike
and dreams differ
Beware those that believe
all must be the same
those that believe your status as a person
is reflected in what you wear, where you come from,
anything other than who you are
stay from those who judge you
and judge you wasted flesh
they cannot see how their traits are worse
and hold you under while your fighting for perspective
admist pillars of broken chaos
Be weary of the malign,
they'll smile and look you in the eyes
before shoving a dagger into your heart
beware the apathetic,
they'll do it without worry
Friends turn, lovers break your heart
then shove you into maddening depression
while flaunting the new person they've found
the one they believe is better than you
One must know
the traits shared by all those I described,
they're sleepers all,
unaware of anything outside themselves
and hardly aware of anything within
they follow instinct
and what they believe to be their own infallible logic
which is truly faulty in the extreme.
They're incapable of understanding the pain they put others through
nor can they see the consequences of their own actions
other than how it affects them
Oh, let's never forget
through the sound of stinging words
that within, strength resides,
the inner pool of power
where sanctity is home
it'll help you see through
their sickening ways
while preventing the taint upon your being
Form your own path
and reach beyond what you see
to what you feel is there
Press on, your light will become stronger than theirs
You'll find your own way to happiness
While they destroy themselves
by things so petty
Maybe will come a time
to crush these dark mortal dreams
and everyone will be able to face
the truth of all that's eternal
